  1. Sports gambling is starting to be and has been a mental health problem for people in ontario and elsewhere. We don’t suspend people for substance abuse. Only if he bet on nhl games is where he should be suspended. Any other sport he should be fine

  2. Ah… Good info to have .. he isn't suspended simply for betting, it is for illigal gambling (I have no clue how they judge legal vs illigal lol)

  3. It's "funny" to see the NHL still remains silent on the 2008 rapists. That isn't bad for them. It's pretty telling…

  4. NHL have lost their minds. Player like Matt Cooke can end player careers no worries 👍 place a bet. You are out for half a season. 😅 clown world

  5. Not that i condone gambling, but i do find it hypocritical of the league who is sponsored by betting apps to react this strongly, Mixed signals much, on one hand promote it for fans for the monetary gains, but with clear no gambling rules for their players…

  6. So that black player evander kane can gamble bet against it's own team while signed and get a slap on the wrist after BONA FIDE PROOF IT DID THESE THINGS and SOME UNSIGNED white player gets 41 game suspension even though the accusation is still under investigation without any proof that he did ..I understand that the NHL has hi sebd a message that gambling even un it's infancy stages us jig ho be tolerated but the inly messege ut ud senfing in thus xade us fuxosrity if jystuce i zm a hockey fan of forty years racially mixed and Betteman and the league is being grossly unfair in this matter..

  7. What a weird suspension! Gambling isn't easy, but some people have addiction to gambling. Violating the gambling rules multiple times like Shane Pinto causes a long suspension like that. Imagine what will the next 41 games be without Pinto.
