I like the three way trade for our team, but I wonder if it makes sense for Washington and Montreal.

What a unrealistic and garbage article. Garland has negative value. There is no sweepstakes as it’s put in the article. If any of those trades were available the Canucks would of have made the trade call so fast and started laughing about the heist they just made.

Honestly it reads like an out of touch homer writing drunken drivel on a message board or something.

Why would Sportsnet editors allow it to be posted?

    Caps MTL trade seems unrealistic.

Preds trade I think we would have to add or retain. I’d like Fabbro though he is steady.

WPG trade is intriguing for sure. Even if it was just for Appleton I’d be okay with that.

CBJ I’m not sure we are all that interested in Peeke. He’s got the same term left and is borderline replacement level. He could be solid but could also just be dead cap.

Sportsnet has reduced itself to mock trades?

I’d take the Chisholm + Appleton for Garland with the Jets and the Fabbro for Garland with the Preds, but not the other two

  6. The Winnipeg and the Columbus ones are probably the likeliest scenarios.

Can’t see that VCR – MON – WAH trade happening. And Fabbro is more necessary now too. He’s also a pending RFA and we don’t know the value of his contract yet and we have two big contracts in Petey and Hronek that need to be signed. Plus OEL’s buyout cap hit will jump as well.

E: Fabbro is more necessary for NSH

At the end of the day… I would rather see Van attach a 2nd (or slightly more but not a 1st) to Garland versus trading him with salary retention or taking on a worse contract.

That $5M over 3 seasons has tangible value.. retaining/taking on onerous contracts would be an L.

Nobody wants Garlander unless we pay them to take him. If he wants out he needs to buck up like Horvat did to get himself traded

Man, the Basant Motors curse really is a thing isn’t it?

Garland – aiming to be traded
Podz – hard hit, in concussion protocol

We need to form a protective circle around Dakota Joshua.
