The New York Rangers are two weeks into the NHL season and while the team is still working some things out, the opportunity for a special season is on the horizon. The Rangers are driving play at five on five and getting contributions from both Alexis Lafreniere and Kaapo Kakko in ways the team hadn’t before. The potential for the Rangers to get even better as they get a better understanding of new head coach Peter Laviolette’s philosophy is attainable.
