Hopefully it ends up just like future 1st in the Schenn trade that ended up being a top 15 pick when Blues surprisingly didnt make playoffs.
I know we want a top picks but Michkov, Gauthier, additional 1st in recent draft and already 2 1sts in upcoming draft is a great set of assets to start the rebuild even if we dont get anymore top 5 picks going forward.
And thats ignoring the quality play of a number of young players on Flyers
Flyers are in good shape either way going forward.

Be nice to have a team thats able to fight itself into the playoffs. As long as we dont start signing free agents or making bad trades, Im okay with seeing what this core can do organically and then addressing things in the off season like the 4th line. I want us to be playing good hockey when Cutter plays his first games and a play off team environment is the absolute best time to bring a rookie in especially if he has a monster year at BC. This group will be even hungrier next year if the system shows immediate success and we dont start fucking with it too much.
Getting a low pick would have been nice if we were tanking, but Im going to trust that Danny will find us some studs even in the back half of the first round, and if we’re looking for centers this year theres starting to look like a few guys are worth getting excited about outside of Celebrini

Current semi-realistic dream draft scenario is that Demidov falls due to injuries/Russian factor/teams reaching on defenseman again and we grab him with the top pick, then with the other pick we grab a guy like Parekh or Mews.
This is looking like it’s going to be a really interesting draft class, whole lot of players with really unique circumstances/profiles. Have a feeling this is gonna be one of those years where redrafts 5 years later are gonna look *wild*

Here are the rules Florida, has to finish above the top 10 in order for us to get the pick if they finish top 10 in the league the pick is protected.
