Someone said fuse the Oilers & Flames to get a REAL hockey team & that's not far from the truth. In Calgary we have a team of passers & character players that would feed & support McDavid and Leon Draisaitl. But let's be real. Our two best players walked because of Sutter. The same a*hole that buried us before. Traded away Jokinen & Tanguay & brought them back. I think traded for Brandon Prust THREE TIMES. Sutter gets credit for our trip to finals but I don't really get what he did. We had the (at the time) best forward in the world in Iginla and arguably the best goaltender in Kiprusoff. Those two hauls out butts to the final to get beat by a team that had Martin St. Louis & Cory Stillman… two players the flames gave up on. CONROY! IF YOU ARE LISTENING. HIRE ME. I'M REAL SMART.
Avs fan here. The only reason we won the cup was cuz Kadri is a perfect 2c. I think we could have won 2 cups in a row if he hadn't chased the money in Calgary. The worst part to me, is that you gave him that much money when he was in a contract year. Calgary is my second team, BTW.
