Honestly it’s sad that the habs only had 1 player to get more than 80 points in a season in about 15 years, but hopefully that can change this year for them
Habs aren't a bad team, they're just inconsistent.
Goal Caufield
The last guy was freaking Maurice Rocket Richard … in my whole lifetime I’ve never seen a goalscorer like caufield at montreal . But we have to understand something . Montréal in his story never really needed desperatly to have a big 45-50 goal scorer in their lignup to win cups . And most of the time , it’s not the team that have the best goal scorer in the NHL who win the stanley cup every years so with that being said , people should really stop acting like « this year and the next 3 years montreal will do big push in the playoff because of Cole Caufield and Suzuki » . To win a cup you just need a good team , wich montréal isn’t really even if they play good et doesn’t mean they are actually a « good team » . ( I’m not saying that habs is filled with bad players the first line and the second one when Dach is there are two really talented lines and all the defensman are aslo pretty sick . But they are just not at their career peak right now so we have ti be patient but one day they will be really good ) So yes , Montréal now have a 50 goal scorer in their linup and Caufield and Suzuki could do an 100 point season if they both play their 82 games . But you still have to wait few year even if we maybe have 1 or 2 line filled with player that will score 60+ point per season we still need a lot of thing to bring this team to a stanley cup finale ( And I actually believe that they will make the playoff this year if they continue playing like that ) ( Sorry for my bad english I’m french canadien )
i remember ak27 playing, he was pretty leathal.
cole is so charming, camera loves him, hes humble, and did you see that reverse check the other night? wow
The 21 run was anything but emotional. It was a flukey joke and the only person doing any hab work was price. And he worked so hard he fell over the bench into a pile of oxy20s
I have been watching the habs my whole life and its honestly NEVER felt like we had a true, natural, reliable goalscorer. The closest we got were pacioretty, cammalleri for like 1 season, and maybe alex kovalev. Scoring has always felt like something we needed to grind out as a team through constant application of pressure to accomplish, very rarely have we had players with high individual talent capable of lighting sparks and creating chances on their own
Last guy for me was Cammalleri.
This kid will score 50 at least once in his career. I wanna say 4 or 5 times but we shall see.
The '93 Habs are the model.
That Stanley Cup Final run is going to work wonders from this team's future. This young core leading a young team hasn't even truly broken yet, and they not only already have Stanley Cup Final experience, but they already know how to be playoff producers from that run. They weren't passengers. They led that team to the Final in 2021. That's so huge for them. That's a massive advantage that none of the other rising teams in the East have. As a Devils fan, the Habs are one of the teams that I will being fearing the most soon.
Habs have they biggest drought with LA for à 40 goal scorers. The last one was Vincent damphouse in 1994. But pure goal scorers was probably stephane richer in 1989
Stephan Richer.. was my neighbor too with Russ Courtnall.. FK I'm old😅😂
the artist Kovalev!
What do you mean MAYBE even toronto? Fk toronto! They got nothing on us
Im thinking Camallari???
Caufield is dangerous!
Stephen Richer
The last guy was Lafleur. Before that, Rocket Richard.
Pacioretty was a top 5 goal scorer in the league in his good days. And he did with Desharnais as a centerman, good guy but far from elite.
It was tougher to score goals back then. If you scored 35+ goals back then you were in the elite. And ovechkin was a notch above the rest at 45-50 goals.
But in his prime there was only 3 or 4 guys that scored more goals than him.
