In a /hockey thread someone said something about a video during the COVID lockdown of veleno and Adam Johnson spending a traditional Swedish Christmas dinner with the president? Of the teams family because they werenât allowed to go home due to the restrictionsâŠhope heâs doing as best as can be. Heâs having the best stretch of his career and then this tragedy
I don’t know how to phrase this. This is purely a thought experiment and I may or may not even agree with this scenario.
Would the Wings be better if we went the Vegas route. Trade every pick, prospect, roster player we can to bring talented role playing roster players into the organization.
Zero loyalty.
The Vegas that Won was nearly completely different from the team that made the finals.
Very few homegrown talents and only a handful of people from the first year roster.
If someone wasn’t working out they were gone and replaced.
Tons of young promising prospects moved to fill out the roster.
Obviously teams have tried and failed and the only reason I’m talking about it is that they won.
They had their struggles too. They went to the finals then didn’t make it back till they won and even missed a year or two
So Iâm writing this incredibly hungover and pissed off. I live in Boston but Iâve been a Wings fan since I was 4 years old. I was just as excited as all of you were during our win streak this year and I only get to see the boys play twice a year when they come to Boston. Last night was legitimately the worst Iâve ever seen them play. It was made worse by the constant heckling Boston fans throw at you. I get it. Itâs hockey. We like to talk shit. I just wish the boys fucking gave a shit last night. The garden is a tough barn to play in but my wrist shot looks better than some of the pancakes we threw at Swayman last night and I suck at hockey.
Did meet some cool dudes who respected my Datsyuk jersey and bought my friends and I drinks so it wasnât a total loss.
Iâm over Copp. Watching him live was a serious pain. I hope heâs sick as all hell bc his decisions were atrocious even from the nosebleeds.

Its too bad the top line cooled off i really think it was a winning strategy to go all in on those 3 and just let the other three lines play ultra defensive shutdown hockey.

Let’s put sticks out for Adam Johnson today boys. Remember we are all just a bunch of kids enjoying a game for entertainment value. At the end of the day the players are all human beings just trying to provide for their families by playing the game they love. I wouldn’t recommend watching the video. It all happens very fast and I hope his family can find peace and heal in time.
