Congrats. At the same time , you have 12 games or less to get better defensively or hell will break loose. You don't have to block shots…it's not the playoffs and it's dangerous. Be smart in your defensive zone….do the Guhle (he got a penalty, it happens)! You are heavier than most team…push them away with your shoulder and seperate the puck by blocking the stick and their bodies on the board….back to basics. And you are doing a wonderful job to give a chance to the goaltender to see the puck. Of course, having the puck more often.
Maybe a strategy could be a big fellow block the player and smaller fellow come to steal the puck so to have more possession time…Honestly, I don't know if it's feasible in a NHL game
you can tell this team is young just buy the growing pains and dumb penalties they take. But theyre getting better.
