After breaking an 18-year playoff curse, the Toronto Maple Leafs and their fans wanted to face the Florida Panthers in the following round, hoping they would be easier competition than the 63-win Boston Bruins. The Leafs fans wishes would come true only to get stomped out in 5 games. The Panthers and their fans haven’t forgotten this moment, and will continue to rub it in Leaf fans faces.

The crazy part is people don’t understand real hockey fans would still want panthers over Boston. Boston up until the biggest choke in nhl history was a scary team to face so why would anyone want to face them instead of panthers. People then forget that the leafs almost won 2 out of the four games they lost and the refs were absolute dog when it came down to making the right calls. 😂 swear it the causal leaf fans that chanted and the causal hockey fans/leaf haters that talked trash after.

There were just as many people chanting “we want Boston”. People just focus on this because the Leafs lost to Florida. Besides, Florida didn’t even put up a fight against the Knights so let’s stop pretending they’re some juggernaut.
As a panthers fan our offense is hot or cold and defense is non existent. The highs and lows form the playoffs was incredible either way
