You guys realize that we got most of our wins vs teams that aren’t likely to make the playoffs, right?

  2. Peckerhead321

They need to do something about line 2

  3. CreateorWither

Hah, very unlikely. We’ve been playing weak teams too.

  4. Sharks9

0% chance. We’re playing above our heads and have an easy schedule so far

  5. Decrepitsteve

Playoffs? No. Bottom feeder finish? nope. I think the habs will do some damage this year. However, an L streak is on the horizon.

  6. pichufur

Not if he stays hot while on another team. A 2024 2nd isnt going to get us to the playoffs this year!

  7. Burgergold

Allen can be very hot but not for more than 35-40g per year. He’s also getting older so I expect him to regress if he add to many games

In a perfect world, Monty would get 45-55 games and Allen 27-37

  8. Sure if Jake Allen wins the Vezina we might sneak in. I would bet against that happening tho lol

  9. deadliftbrosef

    Would be great.

    Ask again in December.

    Habs, Dec. 1st 2022: 12-10-1

We all need to stop getting ahead of ourselves. We should 100% be happy and excited for the way the boys are playing but the playoffs are an unrealistic expectation.

Never underestimate HuGo. We might trade a goalie, or take on a bad contract, pick up a “he’s done” player who turns out great, decide to go for the playoffs for team culture, decide to tank for the picks…

Though I would think that with SJ, Chicago and a few teams in the West, we might be out of the top 5 picks just because they are so bad.

Jake casually entering his prime at the same time as everyone else on the team

I won’t fight ya, but stay humble, my friend! Go Habs Go!

    Here we go again.

Relax. Take a deep breath, count to 10 and then release it.

It is a long season. I personal;ly am chuffed Jake has been playing so well. I am also chuffed the young D is coming along.

Playoffs? You talking about playoffs? I’m happy with some wins.

Let’s see how the first 30 games go and then we can have this conversation.

  16. Snow-Wraith

You must be new. Habs often start strong, then fold in November, likely due to injuries, and struggle to play even .500 hockey for the rest of the year.

Apparently many fans don’t understand sample sizes

I mean all our victories were against teams that ranked 15th and below in points percentage right now in the league. It’s not victories against Chicago, Capitals, Columbus and company that will convince me that we are a playoff team.

Over the next month we will face Vegas and Boston twice, Tampa Bay, LA and surprisingly Detroit and Vancouver. We we lost all those games, but win Calgary, Ducks and the Sharks, then we will know where the team stand.

This deja vu brought to you by a glitch in the matrix.

Every first half of the year we are hopeful. And then after the holidays we start to suck. It’s been the same story for at least two decades.

  21. MustardTiger1337

Would be the worst thing to this team if they made the playoffs
