  1. He stuck his leg out for the trip. You don’t stick your leg out like that when you’re just turning. Definitely should have been a penalty.

  2. Imaginary-Field496

Wonder how much the refs got paid .. 🧐
Fuck the trash ass Refs … Idiots call something stupid like too many men on ice when Petey was clearly getting off the ice and decide to not call tripping on a crucial moment …

  3. GoldenChest2000

Knights won at least (not in regulation unfortunately) so we remain 2nd in the division for now

  4. TheRealTollah

You have to call that. You have to. It resulted in a 3 on 1 and directly decided game. If there’s still a rule book in the NHL, you have to call that 100 out of 100 times. NHL officials are rotten dogshit.

  5. sasksasquatch

    Refs were slanted all night

Lafferty’s interference penalty, yes a penalty but Trocheck also dove there, not even porn stars go down that easy.

Trouba’s penalty in the first, basically criminal assault before the refs called it.

    PDG’s penalty a legit penalty.

Joshua’s penalty in the first was soft as hell.

Canucks TMM penalty, had no effect on the play, so none should have been called.

The non-call in OT just shows how bad the refs were all night, if his leg wasn’t stuck out, just a shitty situation where Pettersson misjudged space, Kreider had his leg out and tripped him, not calling a penalty there literally ended the game. Anything happens to those refs, no tears are going to be shed by me.

  6. Nuck_1198

How much more blatant can that be lmao, refs need to get to Specsavers smh.

  7. eexxiitt

Kreider did a great job hiding that trip.

  8. Deep-Raspberry6787

It’s the rangers. Probably got damn near all the refs on their payroll

  9. cram9800

Lol. THG was certain he toe picked after watching the clip. Anyone with half a brain can see Kreiders leg extending and taking Peteys left foot out. Slick play honestly, thats the kind of dirty shit they should do behind the play that doesn’t get called, except here its blatantly obvious cause there is only 6 players on the ice. THG buddy gotta get some sleep eh.

  10. nicene_

Was at the game, everyone was in disbelief of how that wasn’t called

  11. Truffinator2

Pettersson barely gets touched goes down easy, Refs don’t make what would of been a hard call to see. Just going to happen when you fall easily.

  12. TopTierTuna

Ok, ya. I mean you’re right, it should be a penalty.

But boy do I wish our guy Petterson was harder to knock down.

  13. Calling__Elvis

Considering how generous the refs were to the Rangers (2 goals during two different 2-man adv), it’s disheartening to see how absent they were when the Rangers clearly trips up Pettersson in OT. And the Rangers scores right after. Very poor officiating on this one.

  14. NightHawkRambo

Canucks do that you bet the Zebras would’ve called it, the hypocrisy is sad.

  15. overthisbynow

I’m more mad that the non call ruined what was a great OT up to that point. Seriously though feels like the Rangers should have to share 1 of those 2 points with the refs tbh

  16. Part of me is like CMON REF THATS SO OBVIOUSLY A PENALTY

and another part of me after today is like … well I’m just glad everyone is ok

What an utterly fucked day for hockey. Kinda puts little shit like this into perspective

  17. delaysank

That’s defnitely a penalty, but I’m sure petey falling like a sack of potatoes influenced the non-call.

  18. 40prcentiron

how come you can challenge a goal when offside was a possibility. but not an obvious miss call like this?

  19. Initial-Ad-5462

In real time and every replay I look at this morning, I see that as a 50/50 call in overtime

  20. jakubs12345

Penalty. This unaswered call is game result altering decision. Refs should be punished.

  21. berghie91

A couple years from now they will review shit like that and get it right hopefully.

If anyone watched the rugby world cup those refs are insanely competent compared to the other sports I watch and I kinda wish there was more accountability like that in hockey and soccer.

  22. UnlikelyQtip

Refs sucked bad tonight, for both sides. If the Canucks pp wasn’t dead there wouldn’t have been an OT. Canucks need to capitalize on that shit

  23. YouCanFucough

This is a terrible missed call, but we got 6 power plays this game and only scored on one. It’s easy to blame the refs but the game should not have gotten to this point

  24. Padawanjesus

to be fair the refs always miss a lot of calls in OT

  25. BrodyCanuck

Theres no way they can argue that they didn’t see it when there’s only 3 players on the ice for each team.

  26. Slowyoreroll

Petey fall down, go boom. Bad men have 3 on 1 and score. Canuck luck.

  27. the Canucks did have 6 power plays in the game. Let’s be honest, they lost because Shesturkin, not becasue the ref’s decided anything.

  28. northaviator

Remember the last SCF the Canucks were in, Boston could mug the Sedins, with impunity. Mason Raymond, back broken on a play, no call, Aaron Rome lays out Horton as Horton is admiring his pass, the bought and paid for NHL gives him 4 games, the rest of the playoffs. Since sports betting has come along, I doubt it will ever be clean.
