Happy for the win, they are improving behind the blue line. But these long breaks between games are killing me, but glad this week so Capt can rest up.

The Devils scored more goals than the New York Giants had in net passing yards.

  3. In 2016-17, the year preceding the arrival of our Swiss Prince, the Devils averaged 2.2 goals per game.

With one month and 10% of the season out of the way, the Devils are averaging 1.75 goals per game. *On the power play.* a number so ridiculous I don’t even know what to do with it.

Still no complete games, but it feels like they’re getting closer. This was the first game all season where I didn’t find myself tensing up every time Vitek had to make a save. He looked comfortable and confident, and even with the less-than-ideal third goal against, it feels like we’re starting to see that guy again who can win us some games.

Marino looked like last year’s Marino, which would be massive. Toffoli and Haula just keep scoring goals, Timo keeps producing, and my personal favorite, in the games where our Selke caliber captain can’t play or our Hart candidate centerpiece doesn’t look great, our third best player (who is, coincidentally, TBPITNHL) has become so dominant that he can just drive the offense himself.

We still don’t look great, but the fact that we can look sooo good at times while still not being great is overwhelmingly cool. They just need to put it together. Like, whenever. They have a season to reach their final forms. And when they do, they legitimately could be the most dangerous team in the league.

Can you tell I’m delirious? Coming off an all-nighter and the ambien is just starting to kick in, so I’m going to drift off to dreams of nifty passing plays and sexy Haula slappers. Good morning to the rest of you. LFGD.

My 9 yr old daughter took me down a peg at game last night- stone cold dad joked me right to my face. After Haula scored, she looked at me dead in the eyes and said, “Happy Haula-ween, Dad”. I don’t know how I’m supposed to work today.

Great crowd last night- defense wasn’t perfect but definitely a step in the right direction (except you BS #2). Vitek was incredible. Even with Jack looking off the offense kept churning – Mikey, Bratt and Pally drove a majority of play while out there…this team’s depth is great to see – hope Nico is back ASAP but glad they don’t need to rush it and risk further injury/missing time. 5-2-1 without playing a full solid 60 yet.

We’re starting to improve and we have one point fewer than the top in the metro.
