The New York Rangers have acquired forward Tyler Motte from the Ottawa Senators in exchange for Julien Gauthier and a conditional seventh-round pick in the 2023 NHL Draft. This will be Motte’s second stint with the Rangers after playing nine regular season and 15 playoff games with the team during the 2021-22 season. This season, he has played in 38 games for the Senators and recorded nine points. In his career, Motte has played in 307 NHL games for various teams and recorded 71 points. He was originally drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks in 2013 and later traded to Columbus in a deal involving Rangers forward Artemi Panarin.
