  1. That's a horrendous hit and the ref's made the right call. He hits with an upward motion and the head is clearly the main point of contact. Should be a suspension, but I have no confidence in George Parros.

  2. I'll admit, for some reason, I'm still a Sabres fan. There is for sure head contact, but they let stuff that's worse go all the time. I'm guessing 1 game suspension.

  3. 3 out of 5 Troubas. Leaves his feet, shoulder to the head. I'd give him 5 games. The NHL needs to STOP the "leap into the hit" checking technique.

  4. Makes sense that Brady tkachuk gets away without a suspension for instigating and punching Alex tuch when he was down on the ice but when a Sabre commits an infraction which was not that bad it’s a suspension. Fun league

  5. 2 games was probably the right call for this hit. It isn't necessarily vicious, but players need to make sure they're hitting an available shoulder and not catching the head first. The thing is, if he went after the shoulder, it may have been an even more dangerous boarding situation. He should have checked up on his speed before contact.

  6. I’ve seen much worse in the 80s and 90s when real tough guys were in the league.. love hockey but bettman turned this into a wuss sport… this is when you need your bob proberts in the lineup…

  7. Tough call – Hischier keeps moving forward up the boards with the puck that’s a huge (clean) hit but he bails and tries to fall back to dodge the contact and Clifton makes first contact with his head. Unfortunately as a Sabres fan, you have to suspend him (2 is fair) but the “vicious attack” or “dirty hit” opinions are a little much

  8. 10 games at least in this hockey era, in Scott Stevens era they’d turn a blind eye to it! So punish him like you’ve been punishing us old school hockey lovers with this flag football hockey of today! Let’s go Devils 💪🏽
