Lucas Raymond had a two-point night and scored the game-winning goal as the Detroit Red Wings took down the New York Islanders 4-3 in overtime. Ville Husso got the win, stopping 36 of the 39 shots he faced.

    So happy to see the highlights here – what an awesome game. Wings looked very strong – happy to see. Lots of posts and crossbars, not to mention and amazing Sorokin in the goal. Nice win to take away! Go Wings!

    Thanks for the highlights. Nice OT win by the Wings. Goes well with the Lions win tonight. Bummer about the Pistons' loss. Well, as Meat Loaf sang way back in '77, "two out of three ain't bad."

    Red wings needed this more than islanders and badly. Good point for islanders

    When the wings take the time to set their offense and get the puck moving around the ice they score., they become confident, they exhaust and frustrate the other team. The games we've lost we played like last years team, constantly racing down ice, dumping or shooting as if it was the last 30 seconds of the game. No control, toatlly reactive. The winning games we look like and entirely different team.

    Sorokin is seriously crazy, imagine if he was on a good team. Any team with a good core would immediately be put in contender category with him between the pipes.

    Another season with completely inadequate (amateur level) defense for the Isles; Sorokin cannot be expected to do it all himself – in spite of his near superhuman skills.
