For people that are still defending Jonathan Huberdeau Why?

From the NHL stats page “An offensive wizard with great hands and vision”

He has played 87 games with the Flames right now +/-10 .I know he’s not a scorer, but don’t think he had a “Wow ” game yet that people are taking about. One game this season already he fell on top Marky and that same game he trip over his own stick. Like WTF is going on did he lost all hope now, will we ever see the same Huberdeau from the Panthers?

Who is defending Huberdeau or acting like he’s playing the same as he did in Florida?

defending him, no. rooting for him, yes.

I just don’t get it. He was unbelievable in Florida. He doesn’t look like the same player at all.

I still hope he turns it around.

The only wow game was the first regular season game he played last year, with his spinorama backhand pass.

While it would never happen, because of the impact to total career earnings, mutual contract termination would probably be in the best interests of Huberdeau and Kadri. It’s becoming clear that they’re not the right fit here, and there is no way to move their contracts with how they’re playing.

I wonder if he cracked under the pressure of his new contract and expectations here because he looks like he has no confidence whatsoever. It looks like he’s trying but he’s struggling doing the simplest things on the ice and is a complete shell of what we saw in Florida.

Idk if it was the Sutter situation, his contract, being on a new team, or all of the above but he hasn’t looked comfortable at all since coming here and it doesn’t feel like he’s turning the corner anytime soon. I hope I’m wrong because he was one of my favorite players before coming here and I would love to see him have success again.

Can you imagine being paid $100,000 per game? Let that sink in for a minute. The player and the agent to some degree sold the organization on the talent and future abilities of the player. Time to take the panties off and get some grit in your game and earn your friggin pay check. The organization and fans suffer because of the large cap hit, hit somebody, get in a fight, watch some tape, make an effort in practice, listen to the coaches. Do something.

Anyone with a brain knows he doesn’t have anyone that fits with him on this team. Both he and Lindholm have the same problem right now, they need to play with a puck carrier. The two of them together would be fine if they had someone of that ilk to play with.

Honestly we should try Backlund with them as he’s the best we have at that.

Those Space Jam aliens got all of our talent

    Huberdeau – Backlund – Coronato/Sharangovich/Pelts (when he’s back)

    Passer? Check

    Carrier? Check

    Shooter? Check.

Kadri shouldn’t be on that line.

I don’t think this fan base really understands what a rebuild will be like. The Oilers took more than a decade, Coyotes may never finish, Buffalo a decade. Detroit 8 years, Anaheim is on year 6 and not close. I don’t think this team will be here at the x end of a rebuild – because attendance will be sub 10K.

Tre put a bunch of money into players that aren’t getting it done. At this point, we need to see if they can start playing better together. If not, make some moves at the deadline. If so, then hope your stud goalie can be a difference maker. It’s working for Vancouver and they had the same kind of start last year. They lost their first 7 games.

He’s not bad at hockey, he just lost his mojo

I think some kinda Space Jam shit went on. Its obvious that aliens stole his talent.

Did Huberdeau have a no trade clause in his Florida contract that he waived to come to Calgary?
