Goddammit. Cale is obviously hurt. Hopefully just a little sore and they are being careful.
One of the most dangerous plays in hockey and needs to be addressed as such. One of The best skaters in the league aren’t going to fall down in such a way unless he was pushed while in a vulnerable position. Just listen to Towes interview post game. Cale doesn’t toe pick if he’s not pushed off balance.
Regardless of intent or not I would like Okposo to answer in the same way Eberle did. Nothing dirty, just a good ol fight.
Pardon my rant but I’m still pissed about it since it was such a shitty play/hit and now Cale is hurt. It should be policed like headshots. Anyone that watched in the early 00/90s remembers dudes getting blown up from getting slammed into the boards chasing after pucks to prevent an icing. So, yeah hybrid icing is a good start, but they need to be suspending anyone that does that deliberately boards someone or knocks them off balance in such a way.
