    There's no such thing as law enforcement being in your blood. It's not an ethnicity or even genetics and not even a race.

    When the Irish first immigrated to this country, they were basically forced to hold those positions. It was the only job they would be hired for.
    Similar to slavery and poc.

    They were the most dangerous jobs at the time, considering the mafia in those areas.

    It's definitely nothing to boast about. This country has a hard time addressing its history and tries to romanticize it any way they can.

    Perhaps he's ignorant to it because the education system doesn't really teach those things.

    Exactly how women couldn't hold industrious jobs until or unless the men were drafted to the wars that they manufactured.

    Just like they couldn't vote, be written into wills or even own property.

    Not that voting matters because those positions have been held by the same families with their continued Nepotism.

    Illusion of choice is not a choice.

    This does not make me like or even respect law enforcement nor the judicial system and their continued harassment of citizens regarding their civil rights that were already fought and blood shed for.

    There's no such thing as a good cop when they keep protecting the bad ones.

    But most importantly before all of that took place the ethnic cleansing of the Native Americans who already resided on these lands.
