Juraj Slafkovsky's 2nd NHL season continues to produce drama… What are YOUR thoughts on Slaf right now? Is he a bust? Should he be sent down to the AHL? I'd love to hear your opinions y'all!! #GravGang #RoadTo75kSUBS
Slaf wasn't ready last year, and while he's improved a bit this year, he's clearly still not ready. It's crazy to me that our GM was talking about him as a long term project, yet they are completely unwilling to send him to Laval. KK has shown us this year that a player can indeed develop late, but honestly Slaf is looking worse in his second season than KK in his first season. Let's hope he miraculously turns it around and become a ppg player, but his history of production shows us nothing of the sort.
Send him to the wjc! Let him rebuild his confidence
Send him to AHL like Pacio, he came back a near 40 goal scorer, this guy is loss and needs pp time and 20+ minutes in minors, stop saying he played vs Men, he's a young kid.
He's not a bust. But some time in laval would be great I think
Talk about an overreaction. This kid is 19, he's the only one in the draft class to play over 15 games. Everyone needs to temper expectations. It's currently a weaker draft calss. These kids' development was hit hard by the covid years. We need this year and next to make an educated decision. Sure he could be a bust, but noway anyone should be talking about it yet.
Imagine being montreal and thinking its a smart idea to play 2 power forwarda together
MTL should send Slaf to the WJC and let him dominate! Looks like the Slovaks will have their best team in years, and could quite possibly medal (even without Slafkovsky). I think it'd do wonders for his confidence. He always plays well for his country — maybe it'd jump-start his season

What do I think?… well I think that habs first overall pick failing to adjust to nhl hockey just glorious! Any habs failure I LOVE hearing about!
everybody chill, he has the same amount of goals and points as Anderson (a seasoned veteran) and no one is making a big deal out of that. The whole second line is not producing. Of course Slaf should shoot the puck more but I'm not worried at all about him or his development. Look at KK for those with short term/selective memories. plus it's not like the team is struggling (like SJ)… so sit back, relax, and let the Habs crew handle Slafkovsky's development
He’s been playing pretty decent this season and is just snake bitten if you watch his games. They need to put him on the first pp and move josh Anderson off of his line

There's zero reason for Slav to be in the NHL.
If he was 6 foot with the same skill we wouldn't know him.
If he goes down to the AHL he will be traded because he won't make it back up.
He himself shouldn't want to be a Hab before he can help.
He a fn liability out there coughing up the puck choking his linesmates offense.
So it's not the 1 point he has.
It's the non points his linemates have and ultimately the team.
Honestly when i look slaf play, he just looks lost tbh. He looks afraid of touching the puck or something. St louis wasnt wrong he needs confidence
The problem is Slafkovsky need a good C but I belive Newhook is not a good option for him. I belive they waiting about the return of Dvorack (who will return near November I belive) and they will put Monahan on the 2nd line with him and Newhook as a wingner.

Harvey-Pinard has only 3 more assists, and he's playing on the top line.
Blackhole Anderson cost Slaf at least 3-4 assists.
How many more solid passes does Slaf need to give him before he scores.
