  1. Wings are lighting it up. I hope soderblom gets a call up … dudes a beast. Side note nyr fan here chytil name is pronounced heatl. Not chitile

  2. We can all learn from this. Toronto fans and their media are almost always a bit off in their assessment of hockey. Too many airheads.

  3. I'll say this as someone who follows the Red Wngs and Leafs. Toronto's overspending on forwards caused and continues to cause too much pressure on their 5-6 Dmen. They can't afford a number one d man, so everyone has to pay a slot above. I got the impression that Holl was an anxious guy. He seemed to have brain farts at the worst possible time. I was glad to hear he wouldn't be re-signed by the Leafs, but I cringed when the Wings signed him. Having said that, I felt comfortable assuming Yzerman saw more of him than I had. Although this is still a short sample size, it would appear Holl is playing better without the pressure of having to help a flawed Leafs team win a Presidents trophy and/or a cup. He can just relax and play hockey.

  4. Holl was actually pretty good. If you pay more attention to a lot of the plays people criticized him on, Muzzin was not even in the play and Holl got the blame because he was in the goal photo. I'm dead serious about this.

Also, it's pretty clear what a Leaf's team without Justin Holl looks like. The defense is a lot worse.
