  1. I grew up in Charlestown and Howie is right about how bad it use to be. The funny thing is he dated my sister Diane for a little bit.

  2. I love this beautiful on the inside, beautiful on the outside man. They don't make them like him anymore.

  3. Met Howie back in 1984 at Raider camp in Napa, Ca. He was most gracious and made me feel so very welcome; thank you, Mr. Long. Oh, he has the thickest and strongest hands I've ever seen and shook.

  4. Howie is great. This clip tells absolutely nothing about Howie’s numerous stories growing up in Charlestown though. He had a tough and very interesting childhood.

  5. Howie Long left his family in the projects and like Ben Affleck said in The Town, he put it in the rearview… Maggot!

  6. Went to Milford high school with my uncle who was one of his best friends. When he made it to the nfl he snubbed his best friends & teammates at a game they went to. Without them helping him from failing high school he wouldn’t of made it into college.

  7. Howie doesn't take sides. He's always looking for a fair process for the league, the players, the fans and the owners. One of my favorite defensive players of all time.
    Love me some Howie 🏈🏈🏈

  8. Howie is great but its not like he was running the streets… Uncle got him out to Milford High .. very protected…no not a big townie… as in "The Town"

  9. Milford High School, 1972, a few players from the JV and Varsity basketball teams were standing around at half court. Out of nowhere, and I never understood why he did this, Howie grabbed one of his teammates and pile drived him head first into the hardwood court. This is all I know or remember about Howie Long in high school.
