What’s Up With Ben Hutton? Vancouver Canucks D-Man Still UFA & Unsigned (NHL Free Agency Rumours)

Former Vancouver Canucks defenceman Ben Hutton is still unsigned by an NHL team, and remains in the spotlight of NHL free agency rumours and speculation. What’s up with that? The 26-year-old University of Maine Black Bears alumni had a strong start to his career with Vancouver, but hasn’t had the best record afterwards.

  1. ultimately i think hell get signed, i mean derrick pulliout got sign LOOL and so did del zotto. you combined those 2 and i personally believe theyre still not as good as hutton. as bubbly as he is hes still a Great defense man on any given team. whether that b 3rd pairing or 2nd hes forsure better than alot of other defense mans in the league

  2. Ideally, Hutton would be good for a two way contract for someone…. probably start in the AHL, and with the inevitable injuries, getting called up… but after starting in the bigs the past few years, it would be a demotion, obviously…. so, he or his agent probably wouldn't go for it. But looking at his past performance, a demotion is the only answer.
