An Elias Pettersson hat-trick & a 6-2-1 Canucks record | Canucks Conversation – Nov. 1st, 2023

The Vancouver Canucks continue to roll as they now hold a 6-2-1 record following a 5-2 win over the Nashville Predators. Even with the win, the coach and players weren’t ecstatic about how they played but they were able to gut out a win. Elias Pettersson scored his first career hat trick on home ice and the guys dive into Pettersson’s dominance. Then, Frank Seravalli joins the show to talk about the league-wide view of the Canucks and the guys finish up by having some fun on their way to an ‘Anyone Else?’ segment before concluding the show.

  1. Canucks need to re-sign petey at all costs, keep your staples and your strong players. He likes playing with them and he does very good with them. If they get a little more cap space, they better throw him a very good offer for avout 5 years

  2. The NHL is a joke for the Ottawa, Chicago hypocrisy. Bettboy should be fired along with everyone else who's finger prints are on that decision. Clean house, fold the fuckin league if you have to. A clerical error should never be pubished more harshly than permitting a sexual predator to continue abusing people. Absolute repulsive lack of morality on display by the NHL, and I feel disgusted that a single dollar of mine has ever gone to an organization like that. I am strongly considering boycotting the NHL indefinitely because of this.

  3. Backoff the Pettey for $13m business, do you realize the guy is goalless in 6 of the 9 games this season? Pettey has spent a lot of the season afraid to shoot the puck as always. Great man power forward of the decade JT Miller is $8m. Pettey has 16 points, great man JT Miller has 13 points. Pettey can have $10m while he tries to figure out his stick stiffness. That's all he's worth. PS, Faber already told us who the new cohost is, a dude who worked for Sportsnet for a decade. Welcome to the podcast, "dude" …

  4. WRT the Dorian situation, looks like Melnyk wasn't the only guy drinking too much with the Senators but even so, I liked the Senators a lot better when they were owned by those two girlies. I do think a Sen needs to Mark Messier that little midget DeBrincat who sandbagged them last year when they play the Red Wheels, if somebody deserves a headshot, it's him. Very dangerous giving up assets to bring American players to Canadian markets. Even the clown Conor Garland thinks he's got pull to force a trade to 'murica. Thank heavens JT Sunshine has a lot more integrity than the midgets DeBrincat and Garland.

  5. Sorry I read this quote from the Monday mailbag and thought it said he WAS the new cohost. I guess Amil is the new producer, then? Anyhoo Harman was on the show whenever David wasn't around, was sort of the guest host guy already, so this is not a big surprise, welcome Harman.

"Quads works hard and the podcast is in good hands. The addition of Amil Delic — formerly of 32 Thoughts and Sportsnet — is a huge add for the Nation Network Podcast department. They will be good. Amil is not the new co-host, by the way!"
