Toronto is a team that is going for a Stanley Cup. I say Rakell for a prospect or two would work.
Robertson is untouchable
Rakell could be a good fit but I hope the Leafs don't give up Sandin or Robertson for him. The Leafs need actual talent on entry level contracts and these guys are the best hope. I'd be fine with a 1st + Kerfoot, and maybe throw in another lower level prospect or a mid round pick. If he costs more than that id pass.

I would like Rakell tho I wouldn’t say he’s a star and can’t see us giving up Robertson for either of these
Wouldn’t give up Robertson for either. Can’t see them moving Sandin either. Every time Robertson is in the lineup he works his way up to the first or second line anyways. Him, Matthews, Marner could be the absolute most insane line in the league in a year or two.
Rakell would be a great add to the team. My trade chip would be offering Liljegren. Unknown potential, but we really got him as a steal in that draft when he dropped lower than expected, so moving him for an upgrade would just be gravy. Robertson is a non-touchable, for me.
I would do Iaffallo for Kerfoot.
Iafallo would fit very we'll imo, could be great with JT

I disagree. No offense intended but I think that neither of these proposed trades are going to happen. The Leafs do not need another top 6 forward, let alone a third line center. That is precisely why they signed depth forwards (e.g. Joey Anderson, Nick Petan, Jimmy Vesey, Alex Barabanov and Wayne Simmons) who can move up or down in the line up in case of injury to one of the top 6. If anything, the Leafs might need a veteran defenceman for depth in case of injuries to one of the top 4 defence. Defensive players are more prone to injuries than forwards and the Leafs don't have enough depth to replace an injured Reilly, Muzzin, Holl, or Brodie. Sandin or Lehtonen are OK for 5 and 6 D not 1 to 4 D. That is where the Leafs are vulnerable.
Kerfoot is not likely going anywhere this season. He is under contract at 3.5 M AAV until 2023 and playing well (3 goals, 7 assists for 10 points and +2 in 18 GP and Face off averages just under 50%). Kerfoot is all the Leafs have to show now for the Kadri trade. If Kerfoot gets injured, the Leafs have Spezza who can move up to third line; they have Thornton who can move down but they also have Travis Boyd, William Nylander and / or Engval who could serve as third line Center all without clearing waivers or being called up. Kerfoot has really good chemistry with line mate Mykeyev but not so much with Engval who is not actually playing that well (he is capable of much more) and probably won't be sticking with the Leafs after Simmonds gets back. Assuming the Leafs don't get hit hard with the injury bug this season, the Leafs could pickup a veteran player or two at the deadline for playoff depth without picking up a big cap hit.
Another year of trade rumors where teams hand over their better players to the Leafs in exchange for their overhyped crap.
Both trade ideas are trash…robertson or sandin or 1st round picks…worst move ever…rather target Tanner Pearson from Van or Kyle Palmeri from NJ and give up way less….
I think it´s funny that every Toronto rumour is about attacking player while their defense is almost the worst in the entire league. This is like the start of Edmonton vol.2 😀
I would give up robertson for Rakell. Gotta give to get. I would be hesitant to give up sandin, as defenseman are harder to develop than wingers. plus i guess i'm one of the few who thinks robertson is not gonna translate his skill to the nhl level well.

Rakell and Kerfoot are pretty much the same statistically and financially, and would probably be the centre pieces to a trade.
Rakell would definitely have another gear in Toronto though.
As of today, I think if Alex Kerfoot is not traded…he is the odds on favourite to not only be exposed to, but claimed by the Kraken in the expansion draft.
Why would they get a top 6 forward when they should get top 4 defence men
