Hey man that’s 10% of their goals for the season

  2. cooolduuude

Yeah man, we were fucking stoked that they didn’t get the shutout.

  3. Justus44

As they should. A goal is a goal, and when team have a rough season it’s better to focus on something nice rather than dwell on things that can’t be resolved in the next match or two.

  4. john-tockcoasten

Props to those who stayed around. I have watched a lot of bad hockey, but I’m not sure I have seen my team down by 10 ever, at any level.

  5. Lets_Go_Islanders_

good for the fans (who stayed)

  6. T0macock

    Good for them, man.

I remember being on a team like the sharks when I was younger. The game becomes less of a team vs team and more of a team vs themselves game. Sometime you’re just competing against your history of performance and 1 goal is kinda a win.

  7. Substantial-Recipe72

Imagine being so bad a team scores more goals on you in one game than your entire team has in 10 games

  8. sircrespo

UK football fans would be chanting “we’re gonna win 10-9, we’re gonna win 10-9” 😂

  9. XColdLogicX

Sarcastic love is still love? Got to appreciate the shark fans hanging in there.

  10. notyomamasusername

I gotta a lot of respect for these fans still hanging in there watching that game.

    That was rough

  11. lark-sp

That’s how you know those are fans who truly love their team. You celebrate any win when it comes your way. Heck yeah!

  12. Favsportandbirthyear

Absolutely the correct response kudos to them for staying through that

Cheering ironically is the best way to deal with sports. So many people in the oilers fan base who let the game affect their lives in an unhealthy way. It’s a game. Part of me wants to see the oilers implode to see the fan base lose their shit. I love me a good rebuild.

  14. NightHaunted

If your team scored 10% of your entire season’s worth of goals in one night you’d probably be pretty excited too. Which at this point in the season probably calculates out to an average of… Oh I dunno, maybe 10 goals?

  15. srpollo18

Honestly, props to the fans who stayed til the end and didn’t boo their team sarcastically for scoring when down by 10.

  16. Irondiy

Man i feel bad for zetterlund, he was doing great as a Devil but as a young guy with a lot of potential he was traded off to a team that gave away their best pieces last year. Hopefully he can use this time to improve even more at least, there’s nothing like losing to show you what areas you need to work on.

  17. socrates1975

Sharks fans, your handling this with a lot of class and im loving it! keep it up and be patient, one day you will be back 🙂

  18. AirborneMarburg

Those are real fans. Through thick and thin. Fuck fair weather fans.

  19. Hawaiian_Brian

At that point give them the goal lmao

  20. Party_Gur_3151

I’ve been in this kinda situation before but with a cricket game instead of hockey. All you can do is enjoy the little things and have fun where you can. And if ya do that it still ends up being a good night

  21. MoeSzyslac

“and Chris Paul hits a huge 3 to cut the lead down to 42”

  22. xStickyBudz

As a Canuck fan that has had to endure the last decade of shit hockey just to get to this point.

I respect all those shark fans staying for their team. True fans right there

  23. betefico

That is clearly “we got 1 goal!” and not “we are number 1”

  24. Prudent_Studio1525

This is what it felt like for years as a Mariners fan, we used to celebrate any hit, walk, or glimmer of hope there was. Love to see it.

  25. IsstvanIII

🎶Always look on the bright side of life!

  26. CrabBeanie

The funny thing is it would have been disallowed had Tocchet challenged it. Demko even gave a “wtf” when play resumed. Straight up mercy.

  27. badgerbob1

The guys holding up the #1s are saying “first overall”, right?

  28. Whyuknowthat

A couple random questions to ponder:

Is this Sharks team the worst team in NHL history?

Could any current AHL or D1 college team beat this Sharks team?

  29. Express-Ability752

Surprised there were any left in the stands to record.

  30. cousinstrange

No one better EVER call them fairweather fans.

  31. SholcCTR

If I’m watching the visitors light the lamp 10 times you better believe I’m celebrating the one we get. Kudos to the real fans here
