[Alex Barre-Boulet](https://www.espn.com/nhl/player/_/id/4270820) \- Has looked good enough to justify a roster spot moving forward. He’s been able to generate some offense.
[Conor Sheary](https://www.espn.com/nhl/player/_/id/3149827) \- Jury is out. The goal last night was slick though.
[Tanner Jeannot](https://www.espn.com/nhl/player/_/id/4064780) \- Glad to have him but I think we overpaid. Oh well.
[Michael Eyssimont](https://www.espn.com/nhl/player/_/id/4270247) \- I’m so glad we got him. He is relentless on the forecheck and brings an energy that we desperately need more of.
[Luke Glendening](https://www.espn.com/nhl/player/_/id/2335062) \- Jury is out. Faceoff specialist but we don’t always use him like last night when he was on the ice when Point was losing faceoffs.
[Tyler Motte](https://www.espn.com/nhl/player/_/id/3042138) \- Jury is out. I think this will be a good addition once we see him play.
[Waltteri Merela](https://www.espn.com/nhl/player/_/id/5146592) \- He hasn’t put up any points but when he’s on the ice it feels like he’s making an impact. He passes the eye test imo and I look forward to seeing more of him.
[Nick Perbix](https://www.espn.com/nhl/player/_/id/4419638) \- Looked great last year but not as much this year. Hoping he can turn things around because our defense is struggling.
[Calvin de Haan](https://www.espn.com/nhl/player/_/id/5266) \- No opinion yet, jury is out.

Overall, Eyssimont has been my favorite addition just because of the energy he brings every shift. We really need a few more players like him because it seems like our biggest issue is speed and stamina, especially in the third/overtime.
I’ve only caught maybe half of the games so far this season so I’m curious what you all think.

I think eyssimont was our best acquisition in the past year, solely based on investment vs return. We traded namestnikov for him, and it’s been an absolutely great return. Only $800k a year, and he’s been a relentless player with a fast, grindy playstyle. He also has a underrated shot.
Barre-Boulet has looked more and more comfortable each game, something that I hope continues.
Sheary has a role in pretty much fitting wherever coop puts him, which is great as long as he starts producing more with that role, hopefully something we’ll start to see as he gets more comfortable with the team as well.
Merela is one of the few that stands out as putting in 100% every night, and while not scoring a ton he’s definitely contributing to the team. I feel the same way about Jeannot too, but Merela is much cheaper, and that isn’t necessarily a role that you want to have a huge cap hit.
I’m a DeHaan fan. I think he makes good plays and skates well. Nothing more than that aside from playing passes into good areas off the blue line under pressure. I think he has good IQ and is essentially someone we could’ve used in the playoffs last season.
I would add Raddysh to this posting. I think he’s very good going forward and able to fill in on PP if needed. His defensive abilities need some improvement, but I think he will improve. Seems like he rebounds well after mistakes he makes in prior games. Definitely thrives in certain pairings better than others though.
Agree with everything overall. Looking forward to getting Motte back and seeing what he can do. He was the pick up I was most excited about.
Really excited about Merelä, and am rooting for Jeanot to turn it up.
Perbix is tough. Was a stud last year, but seems to be really struggling in the new system.
New guys look solid. Its the core that is underperforming rn. Still have the firepower to succeed but the effort is not there
Nick Perbix is the next recipient of the missing milk carton shoop award. Where are you bro?
Merela will be good, big body, and not afraid to throw a hit. Needs development.
Mikey stole my Life cereal on his way by, and I likes it.
Sheary can play with the big boys and we saw that last night.
ABB always had talent, he’s using it better this year and seems more comfortable with the NHL speed, looks like he’s ready for the next step.
Did we overpay for Tanner? If nobody gets hurt because he is a deterrent for stupidity and he can contribute then no. I’ll take that trade for healthy teammates any day.
We also found a real good back up in JoJo, hope that continues.
Everyone else is basically doing their jobs except when the defense isn’t. Last night we showed up for one period and left Matty out to dry with turnovers. It’s still early and they got some time to get things together.
Barre Boulet is still basically a non factor when he’s not getting carried by Kucherov and passenger Point. Sheary is decent, needs to stay with Eyssimont and Glendening. Jeannot is playing great relative to his contract, but is unfairly criticized because of the price JBB paid. Eyssimont is solid, still green and makes a lot of rookie mistakes. Glendening is replacement level, just Bellemare 2.0. Merala is solid, I want him to stay with Cirelli and Jeannot. Perbix has been absolutely fucking awful. De Haan is a 7th D.
I like Mikey, everyone else is replaceable.
Guys have varied from serviceable to solid, but doesn’t feel like there are any real difference makers in the group. Probably to be expected given what their cap hits are but would be nice to have someone surprise
Ever since I talked shit about ABB in our GDT he’s been looking a lot better. I hope he can continue to improve into the player we need him to be.
Tyler Motte looked to be a good addition, if he can stay healthy.
Jeannot needs to improve a bit more, we paid too much for him to just be rough and rowdy – that’s fine, but he needs to find the back of the net more.
We love Mikey. He plays like he actually wants to be here, which, why wouldn’t anyone else do the same?
I was really excited for Sheary to join but I think we need to wait a bit more for an actual decision. He’s had some good looks and moves but hasn’t made a super big impact – could be who he’s playing with too
Everyone on that list is lower on on my “I’m watching you” list than Sergy and Cerny. I love those guys and I hate to be so critical of them but they both have massive extensions kicking in soon and quite frankly I haven’t seen enough consistency or non-boneheadedness to justify the big price tag coming in a year. Hoping I’m wrong and they find another gear but thus far I can’t say I’m impressed.
