  1. I'm so relieved this deal got done. I can now sleep at night knowing another team won't offer sheet this guy. Seriously though, this was a no brainer. Even JB couldn't have messed this one up.

  2. I can only remember one bad turnover from him last season. Hopefully he can be in the line up more regularly. Good signing

  3. Its actually a smart idea that alot of guys in his situation should make. Say he signs for a mil , or more. His contract is to expensive they burry him in the minors i believe they can bury up to a mil or whatever. Is he going to make that full mil playing in the AHL all year? i dont think he would. he would probably get paid the ahl salary. so if hes cheaper they are more likely to keep him around as even the 7th defenceman to make that full nhl salary of 750k. as opposed to 75k or whatever in the ahl

  4. OJ may have signed for 750k instead of taking a higher 2-way contract. Guarantees are nice. Tho he's waiver-eligible now. Likely would be claimed. So Benning will carry 8 Dmen next season. OJ and Schenn look like the 4th pairing—great depth.

  5. So a 3pts/23game defensman sign at ligue minimum and every Canucks fans goes nuts?
Woah, time seems to be kinda rough in Vancouver right now isnt it? haha

  6. I bet green hardly plays him and juolevi leaves and plays full time for another team and turns out to be pretty good.

  7. This is a real win signing a guy with 3 points in 23 games that your forced to play cause he has a 1 way deal…. I mean he’s buried on your 4th line maybe gets 9 points in a full season but definitely not a big win
