His father is a hall of fame talent. Paul turned out to be a pretty solid NHLer himself.

2 NCAA championships with the University of Denver
Paul played Jr. B for the St. Louis Jr. Blues of the old Central States Hockey League (now the NA3HL) and led the league in scoring as a 16 year old the same year Jon Cooper coached the Metro Jets, of the same league, to a US Jr. B national championship. St. Louis actually won the league that year but the Jets won the playoffs.
Hey Shannon, ever since you had your bot attack your videos aren't in my suggestions anymore, thought you should know. I might not be the only one….
i know he didnt meet the points expectations when he was signed by the blues. but my god did i love his game. such a unbelievably smart and reliable player. one of those few few players, who are just so brilliantly solid every game. all the best for one of my favourite blues.
Thanks Shannon. Ya know, as a family the Stastnys sure racked up a lot of points and games played!!!
Zach Parise or Phil Kessel next
I was lucky enough to see Paul Stastny and Blake Wheeler play for Munich in the DEL during the NHL lockout of 2012/13. Both of them in their prime, that was some great hockey…
Really funny how Stastny and Krejci had very similar career and styles of play. Them chech centers.
I enjoyed Paul Stastny as a Colorado Avs fan. Wish him the best🎉
A great face-off man and penalty killer. A good all round player
Such a great utility player. Pretty underrated. Could play PK, PP, lines 1-4. Ones of my favorite players of all time
Yan Statsny now works for Altitude Sports and covers the Avalanche on their tv broadcast (intermission show). So unless I'm missing one, it seems like if there's a Statsny associated with hockey they've all at one time been a Nordique, or an Av, or as with Yan, now covering the Avalanche.
When are you going to do a career video of Joe Thornton?….. Oh wait nvm you did one 6 months ago.
Have you done career videos on both Thomas and Alex Steen? Bobby and Brett Hull? Those would seem like likely father son videos you may have done.
Paul’s specialty skill was faceoffs, where he remained one of the league’s best throughout his career. He was also one of the best defensive forwards. These, along with his leadership and mentorship to younger players, were his best skills. You can’t fairly judge his career only by how many points he put up.
For the longest time I always got Paul and Peter mixed up. Now that they are both retired, I’ll successfully stop saying that Peter Stastny now plays for Carolina 😂
Thanks for taking the time and effort to make this video! Paul has been my favorite player since his first year playing in my hometown as a Lancer in the USHL in 2002-03. I was thrilled he was drafted by my favorite team, were he stayed for 7 years. I’ve continued to be a fan of each team he played for. A long and marvelous career!
I liked him in Vegas.
Peter Stastny is a Slovak, not a Czech.
Love Pauly Walnuts, was huge for the Jets 2018 run
