We begin the month of November in 24th place out of the 32 teams in the NHL points standings. With a difficult month on the horizon, it would be good if the Minnesota Wild can finish out this month at least in the top 20 of the standings.
This podcast would've been more appropriate on Halloween with Zach lurking in the shadows like that……November is going to be a tough stretch especially is the injury bug continues to bite. My vote for player of the Oct player of the month is Faber. They are asking a lot of this rookie prospect and he has delivered to date.
I want to see this squad out for blood against NJD. Id focus on slowing them down, focus mostly on Hughes and lay the body like it's all we got left. Moose and Maroon out there like the bash brothers. I want to see Duey and Middsy bring the heavy game too. Focus on D and pepper the net whenever we have the chance.
.500 sounds about right for November Seth, im on board with that too.
My player of the month is MoJo…with Boldy back, I think he'll thrive (he's been pretty solid so far too, I haven't seen any glaring holes in his game so far)
I can't go with Hartman, because he STILL takes the needless penalties such as a slash along the boards at center ice that resulted in a power play goal, offsetting the goal he scored. I don't know what playing "with an edge means," but I am tired of Hartman's stupid penalties. He has cost the team at least two goals because of being in the box for "poor judgment" plays. He's still in my doghouse from last year, and I don't think he has any business being on the top line, so I am negatively biased. My two cents.
Gotta agree with Travis…Faber would be my choice..A kid with less than 20 games under belt leading the team in minutes played..All the important defensive responsibilities..Way ahead of the curve…Where we are in the standings at or near the bottom is whatever..The power rankings in the NHL has Vegas, Avs, Stars in top 5 with Kings right there..Big mountain to climb.
