  1. Habs should keep Monahan hes worth more to us than a 1st round pick hes only 29 id give him a 4 year at 4 million contract to stay

  2. Kinda sick of this shit on Slafkovsky. He's just turned 19 and was doing well with Kirby and now he's trying to adjust. Anderson hasn't done sqaut and he's a veteran. Newhook has hit more iron than a blacksmith and nobody is losing their minds over them. I think putting Slafkovsky on the top line or with Monahan would be a good experiment to see if he clicks there before sending him to the Rocket.

  3. it was rough seeing Harvey Bedard get hurt against arizona. hell be back and back to bedard things for sure

  4. i feel like the slavkovsky thing is all about management not wanting to swallow theyre pride…i love the kid….but i feel like he needs more seasoning in the AHL. The fact that hes a first overall, i feel like management cant admit that hes not quite there yet…Itll boost his confidence and lets be honest were not a cup contender….i would send him down and bring up Roy. He deserves it, not saying for the rest of the season but just a lil candy for doing well. then maybe send him back down after a month or so and bring Slav back up…..just a thought…..see ya at the next thingamagiggy

  5. Monahan is amazing and a great influence on the young pups, but he's 29… we'll probably be in contention in 2-3 years, puts him at 32… players usually peak at 25ish then decline and are a shadow of themselves at 30-34… if we can get a good return before Humpty Dumpty falls off the wall again, then go for it I say.

  6. Dvorak will disappoint. He did last year and he will this year. Yes, his return gives Marty more options but I still don't know why everyone is so giddy to get him back. Dvorak will center the 3rd line with Slaf on Lt and Andy on Rt. (This line will be woeful). Monahan centers the 2nd line with Pearson on Lt and Gally on Rt. (gonna love this line). Newbie the Newfie slides into top line with Suzi and Goal. (this line will be fast). Pezz, Jake and Army will round out the lineup. I'd like to keep Monahan and trade Dvo. But, as Corey Sosner said "but, I’m not the GM so whatever they do I’m letting the cake bake." I agree with that. I trust HUGO.

  7. I want to keep monahan but if he continues this production the value we can get back at the deadline is very tempting to trade him

  8. Habs are a playoff team if they stay healthy. Monahan is not available unless he fetches two 1st rounders he needs to be resigned to a 3 or 4 year deal.. This team is for real. We have reached the next phase in the rebuild. Time to bring up Roy soon and play the best people no matter what. I'm not saying we go out and spend 1st rounders and prospects on rentals for a playoff run. We just need to see how far the team can go if they are in a playoff position at the deadline we hold and make good moves for the future if available.
