I can’t help but to compare Pod to Zadina of last year. After ARZ pulled a shock at No.5. It was going to be Zadina or Quinn Hughes.
This pick really excites me, might just be a huge steal like a Tarasenko, Kurcherov. Alot of him sliding had to do with him recently committing to the KHL for atleast 2 more years. But when he does come may be a dynamic scoring winger!
It might be only 2 years for him to develop and see him bcus of the lockout that's gonna cancel out 2020 we'll see him in 2021 playing nd hopefully Tryamkin that's gonna add good toughness to the Canucks core and defence.

High risk, VERY high reward imo. Not the safest pick, but has the potential to be a great one. Also, I really like that he is a big strong forward, who can maybe play with Horvat in the future. Also, like Benning said, no matter who they chose at 10, we would probably have to wait 2 years anyway.
Worth the wait. Someone had him going 3rd overall in their mock draft. Did you see the highlight goal against the US ? It was a top shelf wrist shot. In slo mo looks just like a Pettersson goal. Trust in Jim Benning. The Canucks made a great pick !

Was shocked at first, really wanted Boldy, but I remembered he was a beast in tournaments. Point production will increase in time, as he hasn't really gotten to settle down anywhere and just play last season, and the two years in the KHL will go by. Hell, it's not impossible (although very unlikely) he could come over in one year if the Canucks try to buy him out of SKA or something. I'm psyched to see The Lion, 2021 Calder winner Vasily PotGoalsIn when we start contending. Now someone call the bread man and let him know we got his boy from the motherland!
