In this edition of Locked on Capitals Dan talks about the the Capitals third win in a row. The Capitals had to fight to get back into it as San Jose scored first. Dylan Strome, Tom Wilson and Evgeny Kuznetsov all scored goals tonight against the sharks. Tom Wilson got his 300th point tonight. Darcy Kuemper stopped 29/30. Scary moment when Martin Fehervary left the ice after getting hit blindly. I don’t think it was a dirty hit. Fehervary was skating into the offensive zone when he lost his balance. He then collided with Tomas Hertl. He did return to the game. Alex Ovechkin got 3 shots on goal but none of them found the back of the net. They’re hoping for continues success this week against the Islanders and Jackets.

We still looked awful
Trying to be positive but it's hard. They left it very late against a winless team. Strome scores again which is positive. Ovechkin continued his goal drought. Yes he has 2 but 1 was an ENG and the other was a PP goal consolation in a blowout
I was scared for the first two periods I can’t lie but a W is a W
C’mon man. I want some Ovechkin goals along with all the winning! They stole one from him that wasn’t offside. Absolutely bull crap. Still, gonna pass Gretzky this season in empty netters. Would like a hat trick vs. The islanders.
Ovie is like some of the better basketball players. When the shot isn’t quite there he will be out there practicing it. Again and again. Repeat. He will slam a classic one timer in pretty soon, but he is old now. What he did from 33-37 was something very special giving him a great chance to pass Gretzky and be first ever to 900 goals. Will be really interesting to see how many goals he has after next season. If he ends up with 25 this year which is the lowest possible total I see he’ll need a top season in 24/25 at 39 years old to get there. So, Ovie may not get the record til his very last season at 40. As long as he plays 70+ games these last three seasons he’ll end up with 900+. 15+ empty netters and 60+ on a goalie is what we need.
Caps settled down after giving up that first goal. Oshe was very active. It was great to see the young guys sprinkled in with the vets. It was a great late comeback! Very entertaining!
How happy am I? When I come home tomorrow I’ve got three dubs to watch 😊
I think they owe a lot of patience to Nick Backstrom..he might need a few more games to get his rhythm. But you’re right-there’s a limit

The Hockey Guy also noticed Ovi looking more hesitant than in previous years. Something seems off with him. Hopefully he can figure it out. He shouldn't worry about the record and let the game come to him. But I can't read his mind. We can't do this without him.
Omg make it to Stanley cup and all the negative ppl will still complain…. W is a W = Wilson 300th goal, woooooo❤❤ lol. No complaints, every game is different, and I have faith in my guys!! ….and they’re ability to get the new guys going. Bet you learn a lot more on the ice with our long timers, than any video study lol. Like I said instead of a whole overhaul, I think this is much better for the team and management, vs overhauling it all. 😱 KUZZZZYYYY thank goodness he was ok.
