Marner is almost as tough as the purple TeleTubby.
Pretty much done with these wimps. Same thing happened to Knies last year after Bennets dirty hit. They're making too much money and don't want to take any chances getting hurt. Marchand, old slewfoot, needs to be removed permanently…
A diehard, dedicated Leaf fan of just short of 60 years, have hung in there through almost unimaginable dysfunction and frustration, but this is the last hill my friends, I haven’t a molecule of respect left for this organization. It is bewildering to me that this is probably the most skilled and talented version of the Toronto Maple Leafs I have witnessed in 60 years, and yet I now loath them more then any other Leaf version. That’s it, I’m done, I’m a fan of this bunch no more, embarrassing, disgusting, disgraceful bunch of tarts.

ill tell you what im tired of …. Leaf fans being so quick to judge this team. Sure they could have come to Liljgrens aid… that is going to be addressed… But if you look at the teams that win the cups. Its not usually the fastest to 100 pts. its not the teams that finish first in the division. Its the teams that can play so many different styles of games. No Bert may nt be fitting in as of now. But the playoffs is an ENTIRELY different game. When the games slow down and those go to the net type goals need to be scored thats when Bert and a Domi will be needed. We shouldnt need them to have career years in the regular season.. regular season means NOTHING as long as you ake the payoffs… look at the teams who have won is the current era… You have LA who wasnt known to be the mst put together team , they just snuck in at 8th place but they had those guys that when the game slowed down and it became a defensive type game they could be effective . Look at Montreal , MUCH slower then Toronto. The reason they beat toronto was because they had the Perrys, they have the Andersons, that when the games slowed down they shined. they didnt need the fast pced game to be effective. Look at the florida panthers. They JUST snuck in as well. they wernt the fastest but they had those guys who could slow the game down and be effective. Ive made my point. So when people are sitting here judgeing a team as a failure or players as a failure after 10 games…. give your head a shake.

Agree 1000%! Year after year we get the same softness. I long for the Clark, Tucker, Domi Sr (even Kadri) and Co days. These were MEN and brothers that went to war. Now we have a bunch of pretty boys all mushy and soft Justin Beibers who are waiting to be spotlighted on CBC for what they wore to the rink tonight. Like you, I am sick of it. I want hockey back. I want the game I feel in love with back. I want the team I have loved and watched for 40 years back. Ugh.
Toronto Maple Leafs are softer than Scotties tissues! Maybe that's one of thier sponsors?
Why overpay a one time 60 goal scorer & core 4 that are 1 for 8 in first rounds basically playoff disappointments – leaving no cash to fairly pay other Leafs should they perform well & stand up for each other? Time to just expect more of the same when it comes to the Leafs & their highly paid Core 4.

Man I miss the Mapleleafs teams of the great captains like Clark and those glorious days. I have tried to be a fan but as a Canadian kid, growing up playing hockey, I have stitches, a deviated nasal septum and a chipped tooth. Sick and tired of these MapleLetDowns!
They were soft last year, year before that, year before that. Really what did you think was going to change? Let's see what is the same, oh yeah core 4, maybe 5 if you count Reilly. They've tried for years to tinker around the edges, always the same result, so what conclusion should everyone have been drawing from that. Instead, they dithered and dicked around all summer and let players lock in no trade deals, now their screwed. Bertuzzi thinks he can float around get 25 to 30 off of passes from other guys. He is playing not to get hurt and for a big payday and term next year. The goalies are weak, say it again, Woll is no NHL level puck stopper. Honestly its a 500 or just a shade better club who will assumng they get there, get smoked in the 1st round again. Its a tear down at Christmas if things don't drastically change, starting with Nylander, hate to say, but he brings you the most.
