Most annoying game I have ever watched
Could Johnny possibly be hurt
that’s a game that we should have won, in our division.
and of course Milano scored against us
Rimer sounds so defeated
How many fucking passes is Z gonna put in people’s skates so they can’t shoot?
Scratch Johnny, bean and everyone else. That was a pathetic display of hockey
I am tired of this team playing without fire for 40 minutes of the game before cranking up the intensity in the last 5 minutes to try and desperately win
*Play 60 minutes of consistent hockey*
I miss Laine. Fuck Anderson for only getting 4 games.
Our team has an inverse proportion of production to salary
Glad that Vincent is finally benching underperforming veterans. Every vet on our team not named Boone has been atrocious.
Got to figure something out on the power play.
Johnny needs to do some soul searching.
1. At some point, it’s not just “the other goalie was hot tonight” anymore.
2. Chinakhov was excellent.
3. At least Vincent has the balls to bench the veterans too, I guess.
Well that stunk. At least Chinakhov looked awesome. So excited to see him in the lineup.
Johnny had 12 minutes TOI. Maybe if he would actually score he would get more time. Also, we have to have the worst expected goals to actual goals ratio. How many times are we going to shoot it at the goalies chest or fail to tip a puck into an open net
We did not deserve to win that. Couldn’t get anything going. Super frustrating to watch.
Take a shot for every time we made a pass to no one
For the last 10-8ish minutes I was able to watch at the end all I have to say is I’ve missed watching chinny
Just feels like 90% of the time this team skates around with no plan. Johnny and Z got paid and now both seem so tentative and almost lazy.
That, was certainly a Blue Jackets game.
Nothing like a good “one goal on 36 shots” 2-1 loss to annoy the fuck out of you.
Misery. Nothing but pain and misery with this trainwreck of a franchise
First line was miserably bad. Nearly every defenseman seemed to have an awful period. Overall this team just can’t put together 60 minutes of hockey… we’re lucky if they play well for 20. So much for that hard skate the other day.
Vincent has a lot of shit to figure out to fix this team
Divisional game, couple days of rest, coming off a huge victory, and that’s their performance?
Fucking unacceptable
Something is going on in Johnny’s personal life. Don’t forget he missed practice yesterday “for personal reasons” and made his way to Washington separately.
1. Chinakhov was excellent
2. Merzlikins was excellent
3. Bean is a fucking joke of a player. Scratch him.
4. Provorov is just way too hot and cold. Good game bad game good game bad game, how about string together 2 good games in a row mf.
5. Veterans were fucking disgusting tonight. Z was disgraceful. JG was disgraceful. Good on Pascal benching Johnny because he was awful and looked lost.
6. The kids are once again saving the leaders of this team. Voronkov, Marchy, Chinny, etc… whilst the supposed “stars” are playing a different sport.
7. Werenski is the third highest paid defenseman in the league. He gets paid more than Makar. Games like this are not good enough.
8. Team let Pascal down, what the fucks he supposed to do when he’s out coaching teams and the players struggle to execute?
Just not good enough tonight, really.
I know Johnny is playing poorly, but he hasn’t played well his whole time here. Last year was better, but this is shit. I know that he’s got personal shot going on, but I’d like to see the excuse that Z can give. Every vet besides Boone playing with 0 heart.
Voronkov seems like a keeper. It’s really stark how he is the only guy on the wing right now big enough to actually stand in front of the crease and put the fear of God into people in the corner.
1. Elvis was good
2. Chinakov was good. Lines are getting crowded when Laine returns.
3. Marchenko seemed to try to will the win. Almost did it.
4. I wonder whats up with Johnny..
5. The first line needs something else than Roslo.
The moral victories can only go so far. They outplayed them by a bit in the first and by a lot in the 3rd, but that second period was abysmal.
I don’t know what the problem is that they can’t get a loose puck into the net. My only thought is lack of size/strength from too many guys. Jenner and Voronkov don’t hesitate to set up in front of the goal, but when there’s a loose puck and the defenders are crashing down on them, nobody else seems to be able to get in that area and do anything. The team seems to be built as a finesse team but lacks the skill to actually play that way.
But at least the Russian forwards all looked good tonight and Elvis was excellent. So, yay?
I’ll see you nerds Monday night and we can suffer together all over again. Huzzah.
I hope Pascal stays strong. The holdout, coasting, out of shape vets will break as they continue to get housed by the kids
Elvis is back. The rest of the team needs to follow suit
Cool to see Chinakhov doing interviews
Im not so much doom and gloom after this game. CBJ are going through a weird stretch where they just cant seem to bury the puck. I believe this will get better.
They had a ton of stupid turnovers that were just trying to make a terrific pass instead of just a safe one. I think this plays off the first issue and they are just trying to push the game to much.
Defense looked rough at points. Bean getting 3 penalties is very bad.
PK looks so good and overall defensive zone looks good as well its just the mistakes trying to exit.
I felt cbj were going to win even late in the 3rd.
We wanna be in the middle of the Metropolitan? Mix in for a wildcard? Beating Washington and Philadelphia (projected basement) should be the bare minimum. And we lost to both of them. Pathetic.
Chinny been studying his English. Good for him
All things considered, we were able to keep it 2-1. These are usually the 6-1 blowouts that used to happen all the time. I’m at least happy we’re able to tame these games slightly compared to last year.

Players that are overpaid on this roster:
Werenski
Johnny
Gudbranson
Bean (he should be paying us)
Kuraly
Severson
Proverov
This team has the same problem we’ve had since Nash left. No game breakers that can be counted on to generate offense. It’s not even necessarily about scoring. We very rarely maintain possession in the offensive zone and despite have a ton of shots tonight not many of them were good chances.
Am I allowed to say Zach is useless yet? Cause every time I do, I get told I shouldn’t ever talk about hockey again, yet here we are… good on Vincent for benching Johnny. It’s been needed for several games.
On the other hand, so happy for Elvis finding his game again (makes the losses harder, though). Chinny being back was a massive bright spot (what a save there at the end!). And the Marchy/Voronkov bond is just plain fun to watch grow. Will be interesting to see what happens when Laine comes back…
Cole Sillinger should probably center Johnny and Tex on the 4th line
Spot on, Pascal. Johnny was not even close to good enough. Benching deserved.
We need to get our offensive players to atleast what their middle of the road production would be. We have a ton of under achieving by our top guys. It’s a sign of the times when Provorov is the fucking point leader for the team.
Other facts:
Emil Bemstrom is only 1 point behind Johnny with Emil playing 1 less game than JG.
Jack Roslovic has a 1 point advantage over Johnny while playing 1 game less than Johnny.
Texier hasn’t recorded a single point in 10 games. I like him but I’m worried.
Sean Kuraly has been absolutely invisible.
