I've been saying it for 3 years now the Oliers are not contenders but pretenders to the stanley Cup,, if 97 0r 29 don't carry the load they won't win,,,your Gs are bad but your problem is Team D ,,, unril the whole team doesn't play D together , they have no shot! the D core is no where near where a Stanley Cup contender! Nurse isnt a top D , hes a top 4 D , so is Ekholm, from theree down you have 5 and 6 Ds , even Bouchard is great offensively but defending he is horrible,, lets not even talk about Ceci who wasnt good enough to play on a bad D core in Ottawa,, Broberg i like but he shouldnt be the savior on D,, Kalak, is a good 6 D ,,, PS you can't waive Campbell , you can't afford too, Skinner can't be that G either and if you pick up a G he will be a back up and you'll be in the same spot in a couple of weeks ,, everything I've pointed out put together comes down to roster construction
Team doesn't have the hockey sense to play this system. Too many massive errors all over the ice. Goalies being terrible is just making it worse.
How many first overall picks have you guys had in the last 20 years
Vegas wouldn’t waive him. You can’t waive him and be competitive.
You have two choices convince him to be too hurt to play and go on LTIR. Which 100 percent teams have done with players.
Or you pay whatever it costs for a noncentender like sanjose to take the contract. May cost multiple 1st rounders and a couple to prospects.
Sucks to keep watching this goaltender.
