How The San Jose Sharks Fell Apart

The San Jose Sharks are the NHL’s worst team, and an absolute disaster. At the moment, they’re 0-9-1; failing to win a single game in the month of October and beyond. In the heat of all that’s surrounding the franchise right now, it may be tough to remember that the Sharks have long been one of the NHL’s most competitive franchises, reaching the post-season in 18 of 20 seasons ranging from 1999 to 2019. Today, we take a look at many of the things that have played into the Sharks failures, as the team faces a *long* rebuild ahead of themselves.

  1. Time for SJ to check the corners of the globe for overlooked players currently working non-traditional hockey markets. Yeh it's an ugly situation, but so were the 74-75 Washington Capitals and '75-'76 Kansas City Scouts, both of which eventually won cups, (albeit as the NJ Devils, in the Scouts' case). Also, try to pick up some pieces off waivers.
