Basketball player with New Zealand Breakers Akil Mitchell was poked in the eye during a game against the Cairns Taipans in Auckland, and his eye came out of his socket.
Even though his eyeball got dislodged from the socket, according to Breakers general manager Dillon Boucher, the early reports from doctors suggest that the injury is not as serious as feared, and Akil Mitchell still has vision.
