They Finally Did It.. But Lost..

OK Guys, it’s time to take a look at the game last night between the Montreal Canadiens and the St.Louis Blues. Juraj Slafkovsky has been the center of attention over the past couple of weeks, and after struggling for the last few games, he finally gets on the board with his first goal of the season! The Habs lose this game 6-3, but it was still nice seeing Slafkovsky get a much needed change in the lineup.

The articles that were in the video were screenshots from Habsfanatics.com, I highly reccommend you to check out this site for further Habs News,

  1. Nice to see Slafkovsky with some good linemates and nice hands in close for a big guy on that pp goal. Kinda sick of talking about that drop it back powerplay plan. Maybe there's a ringette coach out there somewhere that can take over the job. Anderson looks like crap since the season started and everyone is still calling for Slafkovsky s head. Amazing the armchair experts on here. It's a REBUILD people !

  2. butthole of the game!!!

matth is fine, eevryone is probably overreaching atm.
eature vets, sell vets, continue rebuild

great job junkie. nice 15k around the corner

  3. Rather than let your love blind you, why not look at the critical indicators of how the kis is "developing". He got a PPG and I'm happy for him, but finished -1. He's -4 in his last 5 games. I didn't see him want the puck, make plays, create opportunities. If scoring his first of the year on the PP qualifies as progressing nicely, you are delusional. What harm could come from himplaying in an inferior League? Could it be that if he didn't perform well it would expose him as a bad choice as 1st overall? Shane Write has 4g, 2a in 7gms and is +4 playing in the AHL. Could this be helping or hurting him. Why is Roy playing in Laval a good choice but the wrong choice for Slafv? I'm a huge Hab fan but believe the Management Team is making ANOTHER mistake this year with the kid. No matter how much Fan-boy praise you throw his way, he's still on pace for 14pts and -20. Would you care to make a guess what his numbers will be? What would be acceptable (because it appears anything will qualify as outstanding).

  4. Your content his second to none, Junkie-rino! Slaf looked good last night, Monahan and Matheson did not. Monty seemed pissed leaving the ice and St Louis is nice place to watch a game

  5. oh that is good that Slaf is on the top line. maybe playing with higher end talent will bring out his better game.

  6. Slafkovsky has not been the big disappointment that haters say he's been. Ridiculous, over-the-top hyperbole. If fans watched him closely game-by-game, they'd see he's actually progressing OVERALL. I repeat, OVERALL. It's weird that people seem to cement their views and then dissect every play to find something to justify them. The big picture, he's effectively not completed his first season due to his injury last year. He's risen leaps and bounds as far as learning to keep his head-up, adjusting to the NHL pace and smaller ice-surface.

He looks dedicated to being responsible defensively. Focus on him when the puck is in our end, you'll see a young player playing well positionally and active with his stick. He consistently makes very smart, HIGH IQ passes that set-up transition breakouts in the neutral zone. He's been setting up players like Anderson who have been dead-weight. Now that he's had a chance playing with our highest skilled forwards, he took his play to another level.

Sure, he's had some rough shifts since the start of the season. But really, I can only think of a couple games where I can say he was "bad". Just because he wasn't getting on the scoresheet, doesn't mean his play outright sucked. Give the kid a true chance with skilled players. We've got nothing to lose as we're not contending for squat right now. He'll progress better and faster playing with Caulfield and Suzuki in the NHL than playing with Roy and Ferrell in the AHL. And let's count our lucky stars we didn't pick Wright. Which was likely the player next on our list.

  7. Slav Looking good there, and I think Suzuki and Bundle of joy happy to see him there too. Let’s hope it gels !!! Our #8 has been a bit of a disaster, turn-over machine + Cheating on defensive assignments. Galley…what a pleasant surprise.

  8. Someone please buy Justin Barron a bus ticket to Laval or some other destination anywhere but Montreal!!! Trade, send down, just do something,

  9. I’m a fan of the Channel…
    Very cool & Funny.
    I Just didn’t like the term hostages…
We are in middle of a war. But I’m sure he didn’t mean anything like that so it’s fine
