The Blackhawks held a players only meeting after tonight’s loss.

The Blackhawks locker room stayed closed for more than 20 minutes after the game.

Seth Jones, Corey Perry and Ryan Donato confirmed there was a “heart to heart” players-only meeting.

Well, it is a TEAM game. Everyone lost, not just one person.

Work together to find a chemistry.

Please tell me you’re just memeing on the Bulls and that we’re not having the same dysfunction with the hawks too…

  3. Some context from Pope:

    >”Blackhawks held a lengthy team meeting after tonight’s loss.

    >Perry: ‘That’s the brotherhood. You’re not putting anybody down. That wasn’t the message. It’s more about being able to talk about it and figure it out as men.’

    >Seth Jones: ‘We have a few words that we live by on this team — that we came up with before the season started — so we want to live by some of those and hold each other accountable. It’s not mother-effing guys…but if you make a mistake, your teammate should be able to tell you when you’re wrong.’”

I think it’s good that they care enough to do this.

Excellent leadership from our veterans here. Love to see it.

I hope Seth Jones stood in the middle of the room and explained to everyone that he is not playing at the level he should be. His contract is abysmal. I just sat in my seat at the United center amazed that this guy fleeced a NTC out of Bowman. Pitiful.

Jones was once again mid as hell. But suddenly Perry is looking lazy on the ice. A couple of times he looked like he was just not even interested in the play developing around him. I know he’s getting old but he has looked decent all year so far.

Are Chicago sports teams the best at players only meetings?

As long as AA is there too, with Jones

That’s honestly great to hear and the sign of a good team forming.

Afterwards, for no apparent reason, Zach Lavine denied there being a “team” meeting.
