this game had big 8-6 against the hurricanes vibes from Christmas 2019. At that point I was a relatively new fan and that game really opened my eyes to the fact that the Leafs were a crazy disaster of a team. Not much has changed in nearly four years.

i also called for keefe to be fired. hey its great that keefe tried to shake up the lines, like he does all the time, and it does look like he finally struck gold. i agree that he hasn't done it soon enough (for us) but at least its been done. hopefully it sticks. knies should be staying on the top line, and if he does he'll win rookie of the year with 65+ points. just being on that line by proxy he'll get an easy 40 points. but it makes complete sense for knies to be the strong arm to go get those two the puck, as they float around and get in peoples blind spots. its a perfect combo and im baffled keefe hasn't tried it yet, and i love that it worked out so well this time.
also, keefe, why the hell didn't you pull sammy after the 1st goal? it was clearly terrible, and more were clearly going to follow. if not after the 1st, why not after the 2nd? why would he wait 4 goals to pull sammy. that was rough. still a lot that keefe is doing i dislike but im super glad they came through with the win.
for those watching im sure we all noticed the leafs kicked it into overdrive at one point. when they realized, hey, we are in this game again. EVERYONE started blasting. domi? he actually looked fast out there that day. he looked FAST and played a great game. Matthews had the numbers but my god was it all on the back of knies.
sammy, you're playing bad. its okay to not be yourself and play bad, but do not pretend like everything is okay. its a team game buddy, it isn't all on your shoulders. take the time off and enjoy this comeback win. team effort, team points, team win. you're a part of this team sammy

I was at the game last night for my birthday . It was my first game in over 10 years. The emotions throughout this game were insane. After the first period I was so bummed that the game was going to be a write off. Thank god these boys decided to put on a show. I hope keefe keeps nicky bobbie in the lineup he was electric! And for the love of god keep knies on the first line
