Cup is ours.
Never doubted.
I’m excited about Zary. Kid is fun to watch
My take aways from this game are
1. Huska is doing a good job trying different combos to find chemistry and giving the kids priority
2. Speed and youth are the future idc how well they play Lindholm cannot be signed for 8+ it will severely hamper the teams ability to continue to improve and their ability to sign and keep these young players
3. Francis’s first intermission report proved Flames management have learned nothing from Brads tenure, the fact that the door is at all open for the UFA contract talks to be re opened is disturbing.
Flames played with infinitely more speed and pace that game. The young guys are exciting! It’s sad it took Huber being stapled to the bench, but that’s what was needed. GG Huska
The naz, Zary, Shara line was lookin awesome
A trip to Quebec is just what Huberdeau needs. Let’s fucking go, boys.
Great game by Nazem! Hope the Kadri haters tuned in tonight
Rebuild is cancelled, boys and girls. We rollin’!
Kadri line was awesome. Zary looks great. He’s here to stay!
WE ARE BACK BABY! Huby is just running a bit late but he’ll be back too
Hell yeah, 15th overall pick here we come!
Naz found his rookies, now please bring Huby back his son
Where do you go with huberdeau from here? Surely you can’t just shoehorn him back in the top 6 after that chemistry the lines found tonight?
Drinking game returned and we won..
Coincidence? I think not.
Popsicle was also flying tonight… man if we can just clean up some rough edges, we might be a good team again.. tonight was a good start… me happy..
As much as tonight might be Huberdeau’s villain origin story, fuck it. A win’s a win.
As Shoresy would say “two’s a streak”!
Holy crap who was this flames team that was a unreal win and effort play like that you will find away to get back into the mix wheeeeee go 🔥 go
Two in a row! Season best!
huberdeau is going to need Lanny to retrain him like Apollo Creed, Rocky 3 style.
Major props to Huska for having the guts to bench Huberdeau. Didn’t think he had it in him to do that.
Hopefully this is a wake up call for Huberdeau.
As much as Huby has been bad, felt like shit seeing him stapled on the bench like that. You got this huby
I know its a low bar, but that was easily Kadri’s best game of the season. That’s the Kadri I was expecting to see as a Flame. I hope that Zary/Kadri/Sharon line stays together, cause man they were excellent.
Now we just need to figure out how to fix Huberdeau…pretty sure he got benched again.
Huberdeau has more points than Gaudreau
Just need Huby to figure it out.
What a good look for the team, outside of that
Didn’t get to catch much of this one – and i’m still in favour of a rebuild – but you’re not a true fan if you still don’t get stoked when they win, and hope they keep it going.
Although my heart aches for Huby there 🙁
Fuck was that Coleman goal a beauty
When is Pelletier expected back? Huby needs a hug
I am stoked about Sharangovich. I think he’s finding his groove and he seems to be meshing well with Kadri. So many shots of the bench and those two are talking away… good sign
I’m conflicted. Stoked that we won but worried we’re just gonna win enough games this year to end up in no man’s land again and re-sign a bunch of aging UFA’s.
Huby should take a maintenance week and do like 3 grams of shrooms to clear up whatever thoughts he’s got going in in his head. Worse case he has a bad trip and streaks naked around downtown Calgary. Worser case he gets caught on a drug test.
Longest winning streak in Alberta
TWICE AS MANY WINS AS THE OILERS. RISE UP FLAME BROTHERS
Crazy Stat of the day:
The Calgary Flames have not lost a game since November 1, 2023
