I mean if you are gonna be shit stirrer at least you would try and start things with like Hughes, Pettersson, Boeser or something but McDavid is out here going at guys like Suter and PDG like we would 100% take that trade off.

  2. ggpurplecobras

The thought process isn’t that tough to follow – he’s frustrated as hell. Credit to us for getting him to that point, but when a team/star is struggling this is pretty common to see.

It was an ugly ugly night for Edmonton. That felt like a game that brings a major change for them. He also got super chapped for getting checked in front of the net by Miller. “I should be able to skate directly in front of the net without getting touched! I’m McDavid!”

  4. Imaginary-Field496

Diguissippe arm locking Mcgoon and taking him down was the highlight lol

  5. Honestly it’s probably just frustration combined with trying to get his team going.

The only issue is he’s bad at this so it’s laughable. If he lit someone up with a big hit instead of going for pissbaby facewashes it might have accomplished something.

  6. More so frustration then trying to get his team going. A bit too late in the game and he was invisible for most of the game.

  7. signseverywheresigns

I hope he keeps it up, can’t wait to see him laid out. Lol

  8. jack_of_zero_trades

I think in his post game interview, (about knocking Suter over) mcbaby was saying how he just turned and continued skating; so he didn’t see how that was a penalty. Mcdummy

  9. Overclocked11

One of the funniest comments I read last night – “McDavid, why are you crosschecking Suter when you should be crosschecking Skinner” LOL

  10. PaperweightCoaster

The best player in the league acting like a total crybaby because things aren’t going the way he wants them to? The Canucks didn’t beat the wheels off him in response, I would say we handled it quite gentlemanly.

Officer PDG restrained and put him down gently then looked around like, “what else am I supposed to do?”

Di Giuseppe really reminds me of an unpolished Burrows. Tons of tenacity, gets in the dirty areas of the ice and gets under peoples skin.

Really rooting for him to break out and have a good impact on the team all season

  12. Illustrious_West_976

Pizza got 2 minutes for defending himself.

    You can’t do that.

  13. ebb_omega

DJ Zappy doing all the right things there. McDavid punching him in he face, gloved (bullshit, Connor, if you wanna go drop the fucking gloves), Zappy just pushes him off, uses an aikido move to neutralize him and push him to the ground so he stops throwing gloved shots to the face.

How McDavid didn’t land a penalty after that is baffling. I get he’s supposed to be a star player who doesn’t fight but that doesn’t mean he gets to be a douche without consequence.

  14. its_the_luge

He made some interesting decisions there in the 3rd period.

  15. You would be upset too if:
    A) your team was WAY underperforming and
    B) you had to live in Edmonton

    Give the guy a break

  16. shorthanded

Mcdavid is a punk bitch. A highly skilled, best-in-world, punk ass bitch. Fun to watch though!

If I was touted as the “bEsT pLaYeR iN tHe wOrLd” and was forced to waste 8 years in the frozen wasteland of Northern Alberta I’d probably be putting on this pissy temper tantrum too. The boys showed great composure not getting sucked into that bs last night.

  18. The edmonton oilers are fucking embarassing crybabies with zero class to no ones surprise

  19. Jaded_Raspberry9026

The Edmonton Mcdavids are frustrated. Good. They need to change something.

I dont agree with it, but he might have gotten the pat on the back from one of the coaches to send it, fire up his teammates and make them realize that the best player in the world is having to dumb himself down and do the most simple parts of their jobs – being a goon.

Being a goon is the baseline bare minimum you can make the NHL with. if no one else on that team is showing they can rough it up in a tight game where theyve done nothing so far – they arent showing they can push their teams to victory, perhaps that is the train of thought.

Personally I would go for vocal accountability on the bench, with direct line mates, with coaches, work through your system, realize why it isnt working, be accountable for the adjustments – dont let the best player in the world, and arguably the 3rd best player in the world get minor and game misconduct penalties in the third.

If I’m McDavid I’m trying to get a line of communication with video coaches – “Where are their holes? how can we penetrate them on the rush, and how can we prevent their breakouts” talk to your guys, tell them to get in the right fucking spots or move their fucking feet.

Going after guys that are collectively making less than 1/5th of your contract value, and who arent even the ones scrapping it up with the rest of your team is just dumb.

  21. Guy has a little tantrum, falls down, then waits for the McBodyGuards so he can complain about how they’re not letting him score enough. CRYBABY SHIT.

  22. SkidmarkDave

The ekholm embellishment near the end sends me every time. What a loser

  23. teamwaterwings

McDavid looks like he kisses his dad on the lips

  24. ProfitMuhammad

Connor “Do you know who my dad is” McDavid.

Connor “REF, HE TOUCHED ME!” McDavid.

    Connor “bitch” McDavid.

    Connor “Baby Dick” McDavid.

    Connor “60th in scoring” McDavid.

  25. notmyrealnam3

he is all up in his own head and it is glorious

  26. maharajagaipajama

I mean he is clearly trying to light a fire under his team. It didn’t work but his thought process is pretty clear.

  27. A_Crazy_Lemming

He may well be the greatest player alive…but he is a bit of a dick isn’t he!?!

  28. Only-Nature7410

We have not had push back in years. Years!!
    It’s about time.
    This is becoming Tocchets team.

  29. International_Pen478

McCrybaby lol. I was kind of embarrassed for him

  30. DJ_Molten_Lava

The Canucks have mentally broken the Oilers. If Edmonton loses to San Jose I think I will have an orgasm.

  31. Apprehensive-Tea4881

I love this team’s engagement in psychological warfare 🤣 never forgot the last decade we had to endure

  32. Should we post this McGoonery to r/hockey so neutral fans can tell EDM fans to stop denying that McDavid was being a big baby last night?

  33. From a pure physical strength standpoint he’s no match for either Miller or PDG. Wtf is he thinking lol. They were out if their minds in that 3rd period. Tocchet who didn’t challenge the 10-1 goal in SJ says “screw these guys, PP1, you’re on!”. 😎

  34. Lol I like how the other players come in after like “HOW DARE YOU GET ATTACKED BY OUR STAR”.

  35. BrodyCanuck

Anyone notice the refs let him do it and the moment someone retaliated they stepped in to stop it?

  36. VikingPenis

I like how he just gets dumped both times 😂 McDavid has truly become one of the worst players in the league, as well as the wimpiest

  37. Loud_Examination_138

I hate the fact he feels he can run people whenever he wants knowing the league and refs would come down on the opposing players for even looking in his direction. I still feel the league should fine him for the cross check to millers face like wtf was that

  38. bigbigjohnson

What got me about this was Cassie Campbell-Pascall going off after the game with Osmack and Ken Reed about how she loved the “emotion” Edmonton was showing by their stars throwing tantrums and taking dumb penalties to basically seal the loss for them.

Can’t help but feel if the roles were reversed that the take would’ve been about how undisciplined Vancouver was and how they need to get a grip on their season etc.
