Coyotes TV Ratings Up 900% According To Scripps Q3 Earnings Call

Just noticed that E.W. Scripps had its Q3 Earnings Call the other day, apparently Scripps says that Coyotes ratings have increased 900% since moving to Channel 15.2. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/q3-2023-e-w-scripps-035054453.html

I watched some of the game last night. Took me a minute to find the channel at first. The video quality was so much better than Bally’s idk how that happened. Looked good

Who knew? Reaching more potential customers allows those customers to consume your product!

This is why the RSN model always seemed stupid to me. Yes, you can extract more revenue from the cable company, but you’ve put your product behind a paywall, thereby limiting your base to ONLY those that are already predisposed to consuming the product.

But reddit told me it’s not accessible

This is incredible, especially considering how many of the first few games almost certainly took a major viewership hit from being at the same time as the Dbacks playoff run

It also seems like the Suns and Coyotes don’t play at the same time. Probably coincidental, but it’s fantastic for cord cutting sports fans in Phoenix. One game on almost every night on free tv. I’m very happy with how this is working out.

It really is as simple as, give people a convenient way to watch it and they will stop pirating/watching illegal streams.

*Holy shit*, that’s a big jump. Bally’s really was holding us back, it seems.

So the games are all on ABC right? I went to pedal house to watch a game once and they couldn’t find it.
