At 5, I still really really like Cutter. He has a very good chance at being the second best forward in the draft after Cooley. And while Jiricek, Korchinski, Mintyukov, and Nemec all look very legit, until I see Cutter play an NHL or AHL game, I won’t put them ahead of him.

Right now I’m guessing it’ll be Cooley and Jiricek as the top two, but there’s nothing wrong with ending up with the third best player in a draft class, especially when you didn’t pick quite that high. Obviously it’s early and a ton could change, but the initial returns are really promising. Especially if Cutter can stick at center.
