No one drafting him at 18 could have foreseen this. No one knows what those kids will become if they hit the wrong bumps on the road or get in the wrong context at the wrong time. Shit go south fast, man. Especially for teenagers playing with money.
Dunking on the guy at this point feels a bit off. This dude needs help more than anything. I went through the whole thing, and it’s sad more than anything.

In my mind, this whole thing happened at like 2am. Did not expect to see this in broad daylight, holy!
You know, everyone will say that ‘no one could have seen this coming’ when the Habs drafted him at 18 and that is true.
But I do wonder if interviewing player parents would be almost as relevant when considering player attitude and outlook. It’s not a science and there are obvious exceptions but reading the person that raised them for 18 years would be a good indicator of the type of person they will become.

That was terrible, what is happening with him now? I hope he is deported, or jailed for a long time. I have never seen such horiffic threats, other than in a movie. I always hoped these people didn’t exist. And to think he was one of my favorites when he became a Hab.

Everytime I see people here laugh that our team takes character into account when evaluating players, I automatically think they are too young to know better. Prospects are instantly thrown into a hell of a lifestyle when they come here.

I actually found this really tough to watch.
He’s wasted, he’s uncooperative, he tries to intimidate officers, he makes some bad moves, and the police respond reasonably, but the desperation is so sad to see.
