Would have been a great trade for the Canucks.
No, bad trade for the Canucks. Patrick has concussion history, was never a great offensive player and is ripe for an overpayment. As it sits, we just got rid of our overpaid dead weight, so I’d rather have a good, young prospect than overpaid damaged goods.
