Quinn Hughes is absolutely unreal right now. Even with Petey LEADING THE LEAGUE IN SCORING, he's somehow not the best Canuck on the ice. The level at which the Canucks stars are playing is outstanding, they're all clicking at the same time.
In the absence of an active rivalry I'm looking forward to watching the Canucks play the GN, LA,Col at a high level.
Demko is top 5. Any intelligent person understands that.
Quinn Hughes is going to win a whole bunch of trophies this season.
The only thing id like to see is Kuzmenko get a few more goals but thats me being very nit picky
Don’t you forget about me
Miller will destroy the team as the season progresses
Old Man Aquilini didn't want to pay Ian Clark.
I'm so happy to see Hoglander performing like he did in his rookie year again. He's no Petey racking up 2 points a game, but he's playing really smart hockey. He plays his position very well. He's got a great mind for hockey. He makes really good plays every night that seem to go under the radar as it's usually just breakouts, or continuous pressure that only occasionally results in goals. For a 3rd line player to have 5 points in 11 games is pretty good, but to also be a +7 is fantastic.
the Nucks are the surprise of the league but on the other side of the coin its the Oils. Wow they just dropped off the earth it seems
I like that you mentioned the problem in Edmonton isn’t entirely on the goaltending. And the defensive side is the embarrassing part of the game. Everyone seems to like using skinner and Campbell as scapegoats, but they are far from the root of the problem.
Also as a Canucks fan seeing mcdavid and draisaitl crying like that made me very happy.
The Canucks right now have more depth in scoring than I can ever remember. Peterssen and Hughes are playing with toms of confidence . A bounce back year from Miller and Boeser looks huge right now. It almost overshadows how good Kuzmenko is at the moment – who still has room to improve. Even players who appeared to be on the bubble like Hoglander seem to have raised fheir game and showing they may belong on this team after all. Up and down the line up, it’s almost all good news.
It’s almost hard to talk about the improvement of the defence when Demko is playing like an all star, but their are clear signs of improvement. The Canucks breakouts in particular have been noticeably better this year, and for the most part don’t have to spend so much time in their own end as they did last season. Coaches deserve credit here I believe.
This year Is shaping up to be something special for long suffering fans. Enjoy the ride.
It is so nice to hear positivity regarding the Nucks. As an old guy, I have watched this team from the very beginning and have seen many highs and lows, but have never lost my love for my team.
Too bad they couldn’t get their act together while they still had Bo Horvat.
Same, B’s fan on the west coast so local team I watched in tough times. These guys are good and the best core plus best coaching.
a top 3 center, top 3 D, top 3 goalie makes a team look pretty good!
his positioning is so solid. I would say he's solidified himself as a top 5 goalie with more potential to advance.
Demko finally has a defense in front of him. As for the scoring, keep in mind all our stats are being inflated by having Edmonton, Calgary, San Jose and Seattle in their division. We're good, but we might not be great once we're playing against great teams all the time. But for now, this season is going to be a prime opportunity for a Canuck to win a scoring title.
Canucks look great but those uniforms, not so much.yuck
Someone has to applaud Rutherford and Alvin for bringing in new personnel on the roster as well as creating the star-studded coaching staff. Even doubters like Drancer has to shut their big mouth about tearing the team down. Well, what the hell do these media guys know? Can't blame them. It is their job to bark and have readers reading them!
