Okay, can we now *all* finally admit that Copley is dogshit? Please? Two wraparound goals. Two. Fucking embarrassing, man. Can’t even say he’s tired because of the back to back; he’s the most rested player on this roster.
I hope everyone who swore to me that Copley would going to be “huge” for us this year feels really stupid right about now.
Thank god it’s only one year, but I was worried Copley was lightning in a bottle. His stats were awful even with his wins last year. A regression was due.
That’s a game we should’ve won. In regulation. We were clearly the better team throughout. As amazing as Talbot has played, we have to find a way to get him a night off and still get a win
Doughty was awful

I love Doughty and still think he’s good but anyone who ever tries to make trade projections for Clarke need to get bopped on the head
Spence/Anderson/Clarke are our future. Doughty can’t be relied on anymore on the power play
Edit: Getting down voted when Doughty was literally the worst rated player of the game, even below Copley. Dude was awful

Copley bit sloppy on covering the post twice. Work on it or bring Dave up. I’d love to write it off to rust, but that’s basic stuff. He’s the only guy on the ice who shouldn’t have been tired. Onward.
We got 3 out of 4 points on a back to back on the back end of a road trip and Edmonton lost to San Jose. Calm down folks
Not gonna pretend to be a goalie expert, but two wraparound goals in an NHL game just ain’t gonna cut it. That’s a tough one after heavily outshooting them and having chances in OT. Credit to the Pens tho… they’ve been playing well and this game had trap game written all over it.
Dubois had nice game, that’s good to see. Kev is still fighting the puck a bit tho. Every line had their moments… can’t be too upset there. Pens capitalized and timely saves weren’t made. Very fun game tho. Quite enjoyable.
Wanna throw my 2 cents in on Doughty. We’re asking him to play 26 minutes a night in a back to back, guard Sidney Crosby, and THEN anchor an OT. We need Clarke to develop fast or Spence to step up to help out in times like this because Drew was GASSED out there
Lazy ass Copley, get him tf outta here. We’re deep playoff contenders this year we don’t have time for that lazy shit. Can’t even get across when both teamates in front of you are heading that way already. Then you have the first OT goal, giving up a fat fucking rebound to the opposing player. Rebounds happen but Copley has pretty much zero rebound control any other time.
I’m not trying to be a hater, I’m thrilled with this teams performance thus far, especially since we haven’t had an easy schedule. It’s all the more reason to get copleys lazy ass outta here. Bring up Rittich if we haven’t waived him already or bring up a kid. We got a couple kids floating around I’m sure one of them can make a routine save on a routine shot attempt.
Fiala has take care of the puck. He keeps losing it in the neutral zone for bad counters.
I wouldn’t denigrate Copley as a person, especially since without him there are no playoffs last season. That said, probably should at the very least look at another option going forward and send him to Ontario.

I really feel more impressed by Spence than Doughty on the PP. Feels like Spence is very good at keeping it in and making a smart move. Doughty is fine and has a more lethal shot for sure, but I really wouldn’t mind seeing Spence on PP1 at some point. Don’t think that is gonna happen though.

Back-to-back *and* traveling home, you are not going to start your 36-year old injury-prone vet two nights in a row.
Copley was serviceable as backup in regulation and the Kings should have won it there. We had more than enough chances to put that one away.
So it’s three points out of four. That said, it’s unfortunate that after getting bailed out by an offside call he couldn’t hold on for 1:37 more and get to the shootout. The second wrap wasn’t even a bad bounce, Cop was just unable to get the skate on the post the way he wanted to…

How many of you would walk up to Copley and say to his face “you’re trash” “you fucking suck” “you’re dog shit”? Fuck off. We lose 1 game, in overtime, on a back to back, after a massively positive road trip.
You all act like Copley kicked your dog in the mouth and spit on your mother. Yeah, lazy play in net in OT. But you turn on this team so quick when something slightly doesn’t fall our way. We aren’t an 82-0 team. Nobody is. Learn how to be as gracious in a loss as you are boastful in victory. Lots of sore losers coming in here sounding like fans of other pacific division teams when things don’t go their way.
The threads were getting fun again when everyone was on the hype train and now it’s just flooded with negativity and anger again over missing out on a point. Y’all need some perspective regarding sports and realize that you’re dehumanizing a man who is just out there doing a job on the ice. I hope for his sake he doesn’t read the comments.

For a b2b, the team played well except for Copley. It’s clear we need a backup goalie since talbot cannot play 100% of the time.
Where are all the “Copley is our #1” people now? After seeing tons of threads how Copley is our #1 since we traded for Korpisalo last trade deadline, it’s crazy how anyone thought a .900 save percentage was a starter. Delusional fans. Copley needs to go back to the AHL.
Team played great, better start to the season than usual. Just need to shore up the backup goalie and maybe a top LD, and this team is terrifying. Scary enough as it is.
Fell asleep and bummed to see the result. Obviously I can’t see the whole picture since I watched NHL highlights but Copley needs a solution.
Sure he played somewhat competent last year, (.900 is barely) but tonight exposed his deficiencies. He’s not an NHL goaltender. Hes not precise in the way he goes post to post. With movement like that it’s probably a reason he stays deeper in net and shows more to the shooter
