Yes! Been waiting for this kid to finally score. Hopefully this kid is the Duncan Keith for the next 15 years in Chicago.
I always thought NHL players should toss pucks at the net and take one-timers a lot more often. NHL d-men are so good nowadays, that if you take any time to T up a shot, they’ll be in front of it. And, the goalies are so good, they’ll be in front of it too. But, if you one-time it towards the net before either of them have time to set up…
Plus, the goalies are so good that, if they can see it, they’re going to stop it. So, why not throw it into the crowd? Somewhere where they can’t see it? Up into the lights. Make the puck bounce in front of them. Shoot for the goalie’s back or shoulder – or facemask. Aim for skates and shins. Etc…
