  1. The difference this year is the canucks are coming out ready to play at puck drop. Yes, tonight we looked terrible, but, we had them on their heels for the first 5 minutes of this game. 2 quick ones can make you look terrible as they scramble to get back in the game.

  2. In my opinion it really was a half-ass effort, and I'm positive Tocchet feels the same. THAT part of the game worries me, cuz it's too much like last years cancer of LAME efforts. They got lucky tonight, but I will give them credit for staying JUST ENOUGH structured to come out on top, and DeSmith kept them it.
Lame effort tho and I'm sure Tocchet will have a few words

  3. Much more responsible defensively this year! That's all that was missing.

  4. "Lets give them something to 'Toc' about".. nice goals tonight boys! make Toronto look stupid on Saturday… no mercy!!! whooo!

  5. What are these comments? We won 5-2… If every "bad game" came out to be 5-2 it would be amazing.

  6. What I notice a lot from Tocchet is that he's blunt, but he also shows the other team respect, no matter who they are. Nobody's being taken lightly, even if they're a bottom feeder. They're an NHL team, so they're capable of catching you off guard if you're not careful. Nobody's quietly approaching anything like a gimme game. Ottawa proved that they're not ready for primetime, but they play hard and teams that do that can steal games, even if they're not very good. You have to win these kinds of games, because they add up in April.
